Triple Terrific Party Time! [OPEN]

[Pinkie's announcement after Discord's defeat wasn't just hot air. As soon as five minutes after the chaos god's last cry echoed throughout the ship, there's already music blaring out the open doors of the recreation deck. As if in defiance of Discord's attack on her there, Pinkie's filled the place with even MORE balloons than typical for one of her parties. Above the main refreshment table - which is clearly the one with the biggest cake on it - there's a few banners. The topmost one reads SO LONG DISCORD! Right below it is a smaller one saying SORRY FOR BEING A MEANIE. The bottom one is a little larger and written in a different color HAPPY LATE HEARTS AND HOOVES DAY! In all the chaos, she'd completely FORGOTTEN a holiday; could you believe it? But she was totally going to make it up now, with a party to beat all parties!]

"I'm glad most of my friends could make it." She smiled back.

"Just enjoying feeling like myself again. How about you?"

"Well it wouldn't be much of a party if your friends didn't show up," Maes chuckled.

"The same. Also glad to be rid of those skates." The skates on top of the hooves had not been fun.

"It really wouldn't." Not that she'd ever been to a party without her friends there, but the statement rang true.

She was a bit confused by the remark about the skates, before she remembered." Oh! Right, so those disappeared when Discord did, too? That's good."

"More or less. I had actually gotten them off shortly before everything went back to normal. It was a major pain though," Maes replied. He was pretty sure he wasn't going to be taking up skating as a hobby any time soon that was for sure.

"I bet, with all those knots." Though the skates had looked like they might be fun, in different circumstances. "Had you ever used them before--as a human?"

[dadandgone]

Maes shook his head, "Actually no, now that I think about it which might have been part of the problem as well. I've done ice skating before, but never the kind with wheels. I always liked riding a bicycle a little more."

"I haven't tried any of those--are ice skating and bicycles fun?" Xion had a vague knowledge of bicycles and roller skates from Sora's memories, though not much. Ice skates, though, were an unknown.

He frowned slightly. How could she not---oh, right, the Nobody thing. He shook his head, "Ice skating might be a bit difficult to show you since it requires there to be a frozen pond or something. But there might be a bicycle up here somewhere. It is a lot of fun though, especially if you're outdoors."

Maybe he should start showing Xion some of this stuff, it wasn't like there was a lot of serious business that needed doing up here. And, while he didn't like to dwell on the fact, he might not get the opportunity with his own daughter.

Xion nodded. It made sense that ice skating would involve ice, and be difficult to try here, but at least there might be some things they could try. "If we could find one, it might be nice to learn."

She'd have no objections to him show her any of that sort of thing that was available on the satellite. The more things they found to fill their days, the better.

"I'll take a look around next time things aren't crazy around here." Because, let's face it, things got crazy around here quite a bit. It would be fun to do. "And who knows, maybe I can find some regular skates too."

"Those would be fun to try, too--though I bet I'll fall a lot at first." Those skates looked like they were difficult to balance in, and Xion was used to being her own mode of transportation. Still, trying them out couldn't hurt. Things could get crazy around here, but there was the occasional quite moment to fill.

[dadandgone]

He nodded. "Probably. But it usually doesn't hurt that bad and as long as you get back up eventually you learn not to fall at all." The point was always to get back up as far as Maes was concerned.

"How's the medical text book coming since we're on the topic of learning new things?"

Xion knew all about getting up again after you fallen, both literally and metaphorically. "It can't be worse than anything on missions."

Though she wouldn't be able to heal any injuries as quickly, so it was good they'd found those first aid books. "I didn't have much time to read them before we turned into ponies, but I'm going to start again tomorrow."
