That earns Lexaeus a nod in return. Though Ienzo still isn't certain he'll know what is interesting enough to catch his interest, the point is generally moot. As long as something survives the fire that is to come, they'll have made a difference. Not as much of one as Ienzo would like, but he knows that even between the two of them they're unlikely to be able to stop a raging inferno.

Instead, Ienzo makes his way into the library proper. In theory, they have some time, and if he can figure out the trick to how the library categorizes the scrolls there may yet be some hope to finding something of worth. Or, at the very last, ensuring that their choices are somewhat more than simple random selections.
