Act as if... how could he, when he hadn't the slightest idea of what there was for him to belong to. He could certainly pretend to be a good deal younger than he actually was, but even that was something that he wasn't sure he was actually ready to do and even if he did he wasn't quite sure he was ready to give Aeleus more than he was surely already having to deal with. Perhaps he could pretend that he was incapable of-- no, that would be problematic as well, if someone happened to see him later.

Perhaps it really would be best to pretend simply that he belonged where he was, as much as he rather loathed the idea and Ienzo settled for simply nodding again.
