Pearl: Heeeeya Frank, I called in a temp wildlife agency to get ya set up on that ol' Satellite. They should have all the stuff you need to organize up there now.

Frank: Gosh, thanks, Pearl! You sure have been helpful!

Pearl: Ohh, I know! And I'll be done down here in a jiffy!

[Wait...how did this happen? Characters will discover at the start of their day that the entrances to all of their bedrooms have been outfitted with cages! If they try to walk into their rooms, they’ll get trapped. What’s more, the decks are also peppered with cages with tasty bait inside. Step inside to get it, and you'll get stuck!]

[This log is party-style...animals can be smart enough to avoid the traps and try to get rid of them, or potentially get caught! If they do get caught, then characters that are currently human can go around freeing them...or anything else they want to!]

Ohhhh no they didn't. She wasn't falling for any of that crap. They'd have to do better if they wanted to catch Liz.

One might catch a glimpse of her in the halls, but for the most part Liz stayed completely out of sight, watching and waiting.

Well, that was certainly one way to make sure Wilykit was awake in the morning. Not that nearly getting a cage door slammed in her face when she tried to go back to her room after getting breakfast was what she'd call a pleasant wakeup call, but it was definitely something.

"That was faster than I expected," Kit grumbled, scowling at the bars blocking her room. She shook her head to chase off unpleasant memories of Safari Joe and the Robber Baron's trap-filled tower and started skulking back toward the kitchen. As long as this Thundercat was loose, Wilykit wasn't going to sit back and let Frank and that lady in green get away with thing.

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Someday, Harvey was going to take his revenge on those two.

He hadn't even made it back to his room before encountering the cages. He'd been on his way to get some food, and he hadn't been alone. "God damn it. Frank, you idiot." The black rabbit blinked innocently at him from inside the cage. "Alright, let's see..." He waddled around the cage, then grabbed the door in his beak and started tugging.

"They're kidding right?" Maes asks, watching the cage. It wasn't like they were normal animals. They could figure out what the cages were.

Maes sniffed at it but kept his distance before finally sitting on his haunches, "It's not like we were bothering anyone."

The kitchen and the surrounding area had been booby-trapped too, but not for long. By the time Wilykit arrived, Pinkie had piled all the cages on top of one of the tables and was going through them one-by-one, pulling out the bait. "Hey, Wilykit!" she chimed. "You want a...cucumber?" She frowned down at the vegetable and turned to the table next to her. "I think there was a can of tuna somewhere in here..."

...well, someone had to fall for the traps. Fortunately, the trap set in Kotetsu's room was large enough that he could pace, grumpily swishing his tail.

"Hi, Pinkie Pie," Wilykit greeted back as she hopped up on the edge of the table to sniff disdainfully at the pile of cages. "They're really going all out with this whole 'penning us up' plan, aren't they?" she asked, resisting the urge to bat at one of them.

The mention of tuna brightened her spirits quickly enough. "Yes, please!" she quickly responded, momentarily distracted from the problem at hand.

"Yeah. I asked Cammy to ask some of his brothers to find anyone who gets caught. I'm TOTALLY good enough with my fingers now to open these lickety-split! See?" She extracted a small plate of deli meat from the latest cage and set it down before turning to dig through the pile of bait. Cammy, from his place crouched on a nearby table, waved at the pair.

"I just don't know WHY they're doing it!" she exclaimed, pulling out the tuna can and opening it, before setting it down in front of Wilykit. "Frank's always been super-nice to ME, and I'm usually a pony!"

Xion hadn't been expecting a trap right at the door to her room, though she probably should have. Much like Kotetsu she paced, tail swishing.

Namine had panicked upon first realizing she was locked up, but was now curled up in a corner of her cage, tail wrapped around herself.

Luna wasn't sure quite what was going on. She'd already tripped over a couple of the smaller traps. It took her a while to get back up, too. She was still having problems with the whole "two legs" thing.

Namine's was the first occupied cage she came to. "Oh, goodness... ART THOU ALL RIGHT?"

Namine uncurled a little and looked up when she heard someone coming--her hearing was so much better now, that was one thing she would miss.

Even if Luna's appearance hadn't been a hint to her identity, the royal voice and phrasing were. Namine did her best not to wince at the volume. "I'm fine, I just can't get out."

"Oh, poor dear!" Luna took a look over the cage. "We believe we can get thee free."

Amaterasu was more than a little annoyed at the sudden traps that seemed to have sprung up overnight, even though she herself was now human...she was a firm believer in letting animals and nature run free, so this kind of aggression did not sit well with her.

She had already stumbled across a few traps in the halls, but didn't discover anyone actually stuck in them until she came across Xion's room, with the door left open. She looked down, and found the small black cat stuck inside the trap just inside the door.

"Xion?"

90s Kid thought he smelled the delicious fruitiness of pop tarts in the vicinity of the cafeteria. He could get used to this new keen nose of his. And sure enough, there they were! A fresh hot plate of wildberry pop tarts sitting right on the floor! This had to have been his lucky day.

Or maybe not, as he seemed to be completely unaware of the area around that plate of delicious treats, for as he got closer to sniff at the warm toaster pastries, he suddenly yelped in surprise as the trap snapped shut behind him, enclosing him in the little cage that was just the right size for a papillon puppy.

With those knuckleheads threatening to cage them up for no other reason than to make things more miserable for them, as far as he was concerned, Roxas had known he ought to be on the look out for suspicious things. So any out of place food dishes were ignored. At first. Eventually it occurred to him that it might help matters if he could manage to spring the traps without getting caught in them. They'd be useless if they were sprung already. The question was how to do it, though.

Then again, if he got caught in one, it might not be that big of a deal. The main reason such traps worked in the first place was that most animals just didn't possess the problem solving ability to get out. Still, he'd rather not find out the hard way that he couldn't get out, so he spent a bit of time figuring out how to spring them from a safe distance.

It was kind of odd to find himself wishing he'd been turned into a monkey instead of a fox, as it would have made disarming these traps a damn lot easier.

...yeah, Harvey couldn't even really feel surprise at this one. "Kid. Seriously. Did you not see the cage?" He walked up and patted a wing against the side of the trap for emphasis.

Sasami didn't want to get trapped or locked away. What was Frank thinking? Was it because of that woman that showed up? She didn't know right now, all she knew was that she had to hide.

For the moment, though, she's wedged up in a corner, trying to make sure no one spots her. Or at least, no one from Deep 13.

Xion didn't have that much experience with animals or nature to have strong opinions regarding those, but she despised traps and cages of any kind. Hence her pacing and the occasional low growl.

She calmed visibly when she saw Ammy, even if it did take her a moment to recognize her friend in human form. Then there was the fact that Ammy could talk now...It didn't take her long to recover.

"Yeah, it's me."

"Really? I think I know how it opens, but I don't have hands." Namine stood and padded over to the side of the cage closest to where Luna was standing.

"Good, at least nobody will have to stay trapped for too long," Wilykit said. "Frank really didn't think this through too well, did he?"

Kit gave a gleeful little "yay!" once Pinkie Pie got the tuna open and began to dig in as she thought about what she had to say. "I think it's mostly that lady's fault this is happening, or at least she's the one who really wants it to happen. She's Dr. Forrester's mom, right?" she suggested. "I guess being bad at being evil runs in the family, or something."

"I hate traps," Perry mutters darkly as he kicks at one of the empty, smaller ones. He's glad he's too big for them now, but he has to avoid the rooms too and that stinks.

He then stops when he notices someone else wasn't so lucky. "Kotetsu?" He turns to the cage doors with a frown, "You know, you might want to start carrying tools in that hat of yours. It comes in handy." Perry removes his own fedora and pulls out what appears to be a lock pick.

Well. Of course someone would put a cage around the sink she was in. It wasn't even a question of her falling into a trap. Someone just nailed a cage top over her sink. As if she would actually be able to escape and find another water source in time that wasn't the toilet.

Needless to say, Scallop Aino is less than pleased.

"Oh, ha ha ha."

Ammy didn't bother to ask how she'd gotten herself stuck in a trap...it was obvious it'd been placed in her room, and the issue now was not how she'd gotten there, but how to get back out.

"Hold on just a moment. I'll try to open this..."

The problem was, she wasn't really familiar with traps at all, and didn't quite know how to get this one to work. She tried prying the door open, but there seemed to be a catch on the outside that also required someone to pull on it, and she couldn't figure out exactly the trick between both the door and the catch. What she wouldn't give for a cherry bomb right now...

WHO NEEDS SAVING? I GOT THIS. *shifty eyes*

Kotetsu turned at the voice, preparing to bear his teeth, but he eased up when he saw who it was.

"But then I gotta figure out how to use 'em with paws," Kotetsu said with a sigh.
