(Okay, tell me if I went too far in one post!)

Riku's eyes on the other hand had closed. Ever since his dance with darkness, he'd learned that seeing less sometimes meant sensing more. His heart was beating powerfully from the rush of endorphins and adrenaline shooting through his veins. A tingle traced its way from the middle of his back all the way to his neck as the fine hairs stood on end. Riku removed his hand from her cheek to carefully cradle the back of her head. He pressed his lips to hers a little harder, a little more passionately a moment before pulling away a mere inch, opening his eyes a bit for a brief moment.

Quite often, Riku had a lot on his mind, but right now that didn't hold true. He was lost in and to the moment, so enamored he thought less about holding back and more about showing her just how amazing the touch of her precious kiss made him feel. After pressing his lips together he leaned back in, lips half puckered, half parted in an awe-struck smile. Gently he planted his lower lip between hers and opened his mouth a bit wider to part her lips. Slowly his tongue moved in to explore, but it didn't go in very far before meeting the tip of hers.

The contact wasn't quite what he expected. The shock from the sensitive nerves meeting something else moving caused him to pull away with a hint of a gasp. He blinked down at her a moment, heart fluttering from the surprise. It... It wasn't bad. Just different. Very different. And rather exciting because of that. It didn't taste good or bad, either. Again, just different. But maybe that could be for later.

Slowly an almost apologetic half-smile appeared. He then leaned in to give her another kiss on the lips, albeit shorter and sans tongue, just to make it clear he hadn't lost interest.
