Dammit, he should have thought about that. Not many people were on the 3rd deck as opposed to the second deck. Maes decided to blame his slip of his usual concern for others on the recent stress of his predicament. "You're right. We just have to keep them occupied then."

The scarecrows crept a little closer and Maes ground his teeth in irritation. "Maybe we can trap THEM in the room."

He wasn't sure if that would work but it was worth a shot right? Maes turned and opened the door to the room he had originally said THEY should hide in, the scarecrow loomed up behind his turned back. Maes ignored it and simply turned around, grabbing it by its plaid shirt and tossing it into the room. It landed with a WHUMP on the empty bed and didn't move.
