Quiet Time...Please Disturb [open]
Characters: Kaldur'ahm & Open
Content: Whatever floats your boat. Kaldur's just relaxing/meditating.
Location: Deck 8, Nature Deck
Time of day: Evening
Warnings: None
Kaldur'ahm sat with his feet in the watering hole on the Nature Deck. It was a strange environment to find in space, but at least something that Kaldur felt more comfortable with than the other environments. One thing after another seemed to be happening on board and it was nice to find a Deck in which he could just BREATH and not see metal everywhere. It still wasn't a reminder of home, though. Even with his friends here who knew he could be so nostalgic for the Earth he knew? Kaldur watched as some of the fish swam up and around his ankles, obviously curious about this invader in their watering hole. Kaldur watched them before they swam away, obviously interested in other things.
He flopped onto his back, leaving his feet in the water. Perhaps the real reason he was so homesick was the lack of a body of water. It just wasn't enough to have a swimming pool and a small watering hole...Kaldur was used to the ocean. Here he really was a fish out of water, more so than Happy Harbor where he could at least dive in any time he wanted. He hadn't really shown it, not to Artemis or Wally anyway, but he was worried about what would happen to them. Kaldur watched as his skin started to sparkle more in the fading light of the Nature deck. Well, at least he could take his mind off of that by wondering about this recent sparkle invasion of the skin.
Kaldur studied his bare arm as it glistened, wondering what sort of infection this might be. It certainly wasn't any rash or disease he had heard of but it seemed to have affected most of the occupants of the satellite. Just another strange thing about this place he supposed. Kaldur rubbed at his skin for the billionth time that day to see if he could disperse the sparkles but it did little good...but at least the intensity of it from a few moments ago was fading.
"I wonder if it is perhaps a reaction to something," he muttered, laying his arm back down and staring up at the ceiling/forest canopy.

"Hello," he replied, sitting up and studying the pony up close. It was still strange, even though he'd seen her on cambot, to be interacting with a talking horse...that was pink. He knew he shouldn't be surprised what with his own status as an Atlantean and the fact that he dealt with martians on a regular basis. This, however, was somewhat different. "Enjoying the water?"

Since he normally lived under the ocean, the pony figured Kaldur was just trying to ward off some homesickness, and even if this wasn't really much like the sea at all it'd probably make him feel at least a little better. It had to be really different for him being up in space - of course, it was probably different for everyone, but even MORE for him!

He tilted his head. The talking pink pony was fascinating to him simply because he had not met a creature like this before. It was clear to him that she came from a planet that perhaps only had such beings. "Do you snorkel in your lake at home often?"
