Unfortunately, Tom was just way too caught up in his game to really notice the protests from his players that this may have been too steep a challenge for beginners. Or, too big a challenge for experts, really.

But Tom didn't care! This was no time for checking the manuals and other rules! There were Balrogs! And everyone here had to be hardcore, or else the game just wasn't as good!
