FIRST! [Active/Open]

Characters: Riku, and whoever finds him!
Content: Riku appears in the cafeteria.
Location: Deck 4
Time of day: Next Sunday Afternoon, A.D.?
Warnings: Pickle juice

There was something soothing as the light surrounded Riku. He stepped into the Door to Light with Sora, knowing not what was on the other side, but also unafraid. The light washed around him, wrapping him. It was warm, comforting. He closed his eyes, relaxed into a near sleep.

That wrapping became tighter, forcing him into a ball. It became uncomfortable, and that warmth faded into cold. The light seemed to come from above now. Riku pulled his arms around himself, shivering, as things became more and more cramped, like things were piling up around him. He felt like he was sitting on something metal, and whatever above him was weighing down on his head.

And suddenly his world tumbled as something gave out under him. He caught himself on a cold floor as he fell out of the fridge. Various objects clattered around him or broke. Pickle juice was soaking into his pants leg and there was Spam in his hair.

Removing the food from himself as best as he could, Riku righted himself and looked around the cafeteria. "Sora!" He listened. "Sora, answer me!"

"At least this is better than Hallow Bastion," he muttered.

Pinkie had just been in Sugarcube Corner, baking up yet another batch of cupcakes, when out of nowhere she'd been hit by a Doozy. And this wasn't like the Doozy she'd had with Twilight and the hydra and all that - this was a super-big tremendous doozy! Her ears were flopping, her legs were leaping, and even her mane was frizzing...and then, just like that, it stopped. And she was in somepony else's kitchen.

First, she opened the oven, just to see if her cupcakes were there, too. When they weren't, she began to trot around. Her hoofbeats echoed; this had to be the biggest kitchen she'd ever seen! And the shiniest, too! "Helloooooo~" she called out, peering around a corner. "Is anypony home?"

Just then, there was a big clattering noise! Pinkie turned and cantered back the way she'd came, screeching to a halt when she saw the...creature standing there. It was all tall and furless and weird, and it lived in the refrigerator! The pony peered up at Riku curiously. "Hi! Is this your kitchen? I'm sorry I came in without knocking - I think I got teleported by accident or something! It was all like WOOOOOooooooOOOOOOsh and then here I was!"

Pinkie frowned. "Oh, so you don't live in the fridge?" She peered into the aforementioned appliance again, then up at Riku with a giggle. "Well, that's a silly place to teleport! Aren't you cold? And you've got noodles on your pants!"

Not for long, anyway; Pinkie reached out her neck and promptly slurped them up. Smacking her lips, she looked around. She still wasn't terribly alarmed about the whole business - at least not as much as she should be - but she was starting to get curious. "So where are we, then? And what are you? I've never seen anything like you before, and I've met lots and lots of different kinds of creatures!"

Pinkie didn't notice Riku's discomfort, largely because she really had no concept of personal space. Luckily for both of them, though, there wasn't really anything left on his clothes that she wanted to try, so she stayed where she was, looking up at him with tilted head. His comment on her color made her giggle, and she responded, "I'm the only pony in my family who's pink, too! That's why they call me Pinkie Pie! There's other pink ponies in other places with other names, but even compared to them I'm super-fantastically pinkariffic!" She finished off the proclamation with a little pose. She was totally pinkariffic.

The whole time they'd been talking, there hadn't been any more noise, and no one else had come into the kitchen. If they'd both been teleported here, who had done it? Normally Twilight was the one doing teleporting around Ponyville, but Pinkie knew she hadn't been anywhere near her when this happened. "Maybe we should go see who does live here, then? she asked, scraping a front hoof along the floor. "If they're the ones who teleported me to the kitchen and you to the fridge, they can probably put us back where we were, too. I had some cupcakes in the oven and I don't want them to get burnt!"

As it turned out, there was someone else approaching...Sora had arrived on the Satellite as well, only about half an hour before Riku himself. Needless to say, he had been more than a little confused when the Door to Light had taken him not back to Destiny Islands, but a few inches shy of falling into an indoor swimming pool. In fact, this whole area looked futuristic...and Sora got the sense of being in artificial gravity, like on the gummi ship.

Not seeing Riku anywhere nearby, he immediately went exploring. Had his friend gotten home somehow while he had gotten stuck here? It didn't really make any sense. Sora hoped that perhaps Riku was nearby...

As it turned out, he did not have to look long. Heading up a level took him to a place that appeared to be a huge cafeteria and kitchen. Just as he entered the place, he saw a familiar friend. And he was with...a bright pink pony? Was she native to this world?

Sora's face broke into a wide grin. "Riku!"
