The shade leaned back out of reach of the initially-suspected strike, only to find an attack with a little more reach connecting with his cheek. The doppelganger fell backwards as if the assault had been enough to really knock it flat. It rolled onto its back, and then curled as it rolled into its shoulders. Its palms were planted on the floor...

After a brief second on the ground, the shade kicked forward, launching himself forward at him opponent feet-first. At best, the shade was back on it's feet. At worst...
