SnowNemesis vs SnowPlatypus
Characters: Perry the Platypus & Open
Content: Nature Deck snowman shenanigans
Location: Nature Deck
Time of day: afternoon
Warnings: None
Note: Please talk to me before "discovering" Perry's secret.
Perry had slipped away, as usual for this time of day despite the fact that he had no mission to speak of. Doctor Doofenshmirtz was still no where to be seen which left Perry with a LOT of free time he wasn't sure what to do with. He'd already tampered with the Cambots to give him an early alert system so as not to be caught on camera unawares. He'd already navigated most of the satellite in an effort to pinpoint the best hiding places and areas that could be converted into a secret lair. He was running out of things to do but, thankfully, he had arrived on the SoL just days before the Christmas holiday would begin and he had to admit he was pretty excited about it. Christmas would give him PLENTY to do if he could sneak around and decorate or just enjoy the Christmas specials and snow.
Because, yes, even though he was in space and on a satellite there was no reason not to think that there wouldn't be snow, especially with Phineas on board. He'd found his way to the nature deck, mainly by accident, and was pleased to discover that snow was indeed already on its way. Smiling slightly, Perry stooped down and started to pack some of the snow together. He didn't often get the chance to do this for fear of the neighborhood seeing his actions, but here he felt he had sufficient cover to begin construction of an actual Snowman. The snow was perfect for the construction and someone had even conveniently left a few crates with carrots, coal, and other snowman accessories to make the perfect winter companion.
It wasn't long before Perry had a snowman made complete with scarf, coal eyes and buttons, and a carrot nose that was slightly crooked. It wasn't until he was done that he realized the snowman looked a little bit like a certain nemesis he had. Huh, that was weird. Well if he was going to make a snownemesis he might as well make a snowagent. It didn't take long for Perry to sculpt a snowplatypus because he was fairly artistic like that. Perry wandered over to the boxes and pulled out two hats and a lab coat. One hat bearing a striking resemblance to his own and the other was a top hat. He knew the nemesis that the snowman was based on didn't often wear hats, but it just wasn't right to make a snowman without adding a hat. He put the lab coat on the snownemesis and then tossed the hats up.
He brushed the snow off his paws, turning to leave when he heard a sound. Perry paused, that couldn't be good. He turned back around and was only mildly surprised to see the snownemesis and snowplatypus had come to life and were singing a rather familiar and somewhat catchy tune. Also they were apparently having a dance battle. Perry watched this for a moment before face palming. He really should have seen that coming. Yeah, this was not one of his brighter ideas.

The snow creatures...she wasn't really sure what was going on with that. Midna shook her head and planted her hands on her hips. The snowmen were singing about some weird need-hate thing.
"What's going on with that?" she asked, pointing to the snow figures. The green animal might not be any more able to communicate than Farora, but she could hope.

Just as Midna entered the Nature deck, Perry was caught up in the nemesis snow dance fight. There wasn't TIME to pretend he was just a regular platypus when he was sent tumbling head over tail with his snow-sculpted counterpart. The snowman, made to look like the bad Doctor, started laughing at the both of them. Perry shook the snow from his hat and turned to look at the strange human who had come in on him. He looked back and forth before just shrugging. Honestly, he couldn't really explain it himself. Magical snowmen, what more was there to say?

The creation immediately returned to just that, even going back down on all fours. Huh, he was surprised that actually worked. Perry paused and side-eyed the hat again, it certainly didn't look magical. He didn't get long though, the snownemesis was NOT happy about this and threw a snowball at Perry's head.
no subject
"I don't think this one is too happy with you," she said to the platypus.

Perry took this as his chance and jumped up, smacking the hat off of the doctor's head with a flick of his beaver-like tail. Perry landed on the ground in a crouch and then straightened up, adjusting his hat. That'll teach any snownemesis to mess with him.

Eventually, she heard the tune and trotted over to investigate. She certainly was not expecting to see... dancing snow creatures.

The snow dancer/fighters were still going at it however. Luna MIGHT even notice that one of the snow creatures was an exact duplicate of Perry. The snowman grabbed the snowplatypus and hurled it at a tree as he spun around singing. However, the snowplatypus did a fancy flip and launched himself at the snowman. Perry, meanwhile, shook snow from his fur. He was going to have to get those hats off. Frosty the snowman was one thing, this was just ridiculous and could potentially blow his cover.

"Ah! Thou art the pet of that human, are you not? We suppose he built these for you, yes? They are quite well crafted! We do wonder how they came to move about, though. We cannot use our own magic. Quite a hassle, you see."
She crouched down and tucked her wings near her body.
"Perhaps it would be best not to disturb them. Thou must be cold. We shall give thee a ride, if thou wish."
no subject
A ride sounded fun, but he wasn't sure how he was going to manage that right now. So, he opted for just lying next to the unicorn...pegasus...pony and watching the snowmen battle to music.

"We do wonder how these things have happened. We have never seen snow indoors. ...naturally, that is. Oh, but it has been so long since we have seen it." Luna sighed. "We did not realize how much we had missed it."

He'd seen snow in the middle of summer before so seeing snow indoors wasn't that impressive. Still, he could hear the reminisent tone of her voice and he did feel a bit sorry for her. It sounded like she hadn't seen snow in a really long time, though he did not know the reason why. Perry liked snow, mostly because of its associations with Christmas, his favorite holiday, but it was pleasant all the same. Snow was usually better to watch from the comfort of a nice patch of rug by a fire, but playing in it was nice too. He made a chattering noise in agreement and sympathy.

"Our apologies, little one. We did not mean to reminisce. Would thou likest to get out of the snow and someplace warmer? We could try to find hot chocolate. Such a wonderful thing, it is!" Her gaze returned to the snowcreatures.
"T'would likely be safer as well."

He stopped at the doorway and waited for her to join him.

"Dost thou know where to go?"

Perry wanders in the direction of the kitchen deck, knowing that with her long legs the pony can catch up at any time.

"Perhaps we could take some to thy owner as well..." she mused, her mind still on hot chocolate.
