He needed two. Vanitas fused with me while we were fighting just now, or he tried to at least, and the χ-blade was made. It's supposed to be able to summon Kingdom Hearts and open it, releasing all that power. I don't know what he wanted with it, but I think he wanted to recreate the Keyblade War. That or he just wanted the χ-blade itself - he was kind of rambling at the end, I just wanted to hit him instead of listen to him."
