On one end of the spectrum, Roxas was beginning to wish he hadn't picked up the damn laser gun and armor. On the other hand it was nice to know that, when he was actually thinking, Ven was capable of planning and strategy. This was a good thing, should any situations arise where there would be real fighting.
He did peak out when the towels hit the floor, but ducked back quickly when the brief glimpse he caught of his potential targets indicated he wouldn't be getting any hits in.
But now what? He probably could have gotten a shot off on Sora when he'd peeked out, but that might have given Ven a good opening. How could he lure one or both of them out so he could score some hits? Or should he bother? Maybe a full retreat was a better option. But that would mean either retreating to a lower deck and hopefully losing them or trying to get back up to the rec deck and either getting some help from team mates or fleeing further and heading into the cafeteria deck.
He looked around behind his cover quickly, trying to see if he had any possible escape routes. There was one and if he was quiet enough, he might just have been able to slip away and get some distance between himself and the others. Maybe. Hopefully. It was worth a try at least.
Ever so quietly, Roxas edged back away from his cover. The stacks of set supplies created a convenient little alley that the other piece of set he'd been hiding behind had been conveniently propped up against. If they were going to follow him directly, they would first have to notice him and secondly be willing to give him a few free shots. He knew it was possible that they might split up, but hopefully he'd be well away before they even realized the chase was on again.
Quietly, quietly... Naturally, his luck didn't hold and he wound up knocking something over that would be a big tip off that he wasn't behind the most obvious bit of cover where he'd initially. Biting back a some choice language, he picked up his pace, retreating further into the theater deck and trying to recall where the nearest route down to the next deck was.
Wow, this one ran away with me...
