The platypus was seriously questioning a mouse king? Riku wasn't quite so sure how a green platypus would be unsure about this.
Riku watched as the painting seemed to form itself upon the page. He saw the ink form around and shape a moon, bleeding in around a figure... And realized it was him, standing in the night. No, the darkness. His eyes widened. "How do--" He paused, bringing up the palm of his hand to sniff it. Yes, it was very faint, but he could smell the darkness on it. That's how she knew. No longer so steeped in darkness as he once was, his senses were no longer so sensitive to it. But he still knew that scent, and evidently, so did Amaterasu. "...You smell this." he held out his palms to her. "You've got experience fighting the darkness, don't you?"
His gaze drifted downward slightly before he pressed spread fingers to the soil beside him. Under his palm reappeared Way to the Dawn, but he never grasped its hilt, removing his hand and leaning his wrist on his knee. "I don't know if light has a scent. But maybe the scent of this will tell you more of what I am."
