Notes: Continued from last week.

With the start of the new week, Namine was glad to see her appearance had returned to normal. It was a relief to look in the mirror and see the image she usually thought of as herself. Not that the change hadn't had its advantages; she'd enjoyed not having to use a stool to reach things in the supply cabinets as often as she usually did.

Still, she was back to her usual appearance and that made her a little happier. She went about her usual routine without having to worry about avoiding Cambots or a flying Pinkie Pie. At least one thing that hadn't changed was her and Riku's picture exchanges, and she found one waiting for her when she came back from the theatrical deck.

She smiled, mostly because she had trouble believing that Riku had ever been a poor student. It WOULD be nice to even things up like that, though unfortunately it wasn't that easy. She set to work on her response--really a response to his picture and a new message on one page. On one half, she and Riku each held a piece of paper that said "Math" and had what looked like equations. Riku's had been given an A, hers a C. On the other half was a picture of her looking in the mirror, her reflection matching her appearance once again.

Riku smiled down proudly not so much at his picture, but The drawing wasn't slipped under her door this time, but placed atop a small bundle in front of her door. The paper it was drawn on looked a little different too, complete with an odd texture and uneven edges. Riku didn't reply to Namine's first picture. He needed space on the page, and he was afraid he'd draw too big. The first half of the page depicted him also as normal, looking at his hand. It felt good being a teenager again. The other half had a picture of him entering the time machine Gypsy had mentioned. The dial appeared to be set on "dinosaur," as indicated by a little picture of a green blobby sauropod. Someone couldn't draw a dinosaur to save his life.

However, more importantly, under his drawing was the result of all the noise and missing items from around the satellite. There was a bundle of hand-made recycled paper, tied with twine. Each piece was different. Some was bleached white, some was tinted cream, light green or light blue. Specs of crayon could be seen in the grains of paper, proof he'd used his own failed drawings to make this.

There was no reply from Riku that day. When he'd finally returned, it was late, and he'd been tired enough after everything that all he wanted to do was get a shower to wash off the smell of prehistoric earth and go to bed.

The picture came on a piece of recycled paper, tinted green. The image was dynamic, though amateurish of course. Riku depicted himself fighting off a hoard of dinosaurs along with Amaterasu. Way to the Dawn was prominently featured. The time machine was in the background. Perry the Platypus sat next to it, looking as if he'd snuck in by accident and was watching the events unfold with his typical blank stare. So that's where he'd gotten to. Perry did have a habit of winding up in random places on the SOL anyway. The time machine and Perry were quite small, however, the picture focusing on Amaterasu and Riku fighting side by side. Riku also was clearly injured, judging by the amount of red crayon used. The bottom had a quick follow up doodle of himself looking fine and sparkling leaves above his head. Clearly it'd been added to make sure Namine wouldn't worry.

Riku cocked his head a little at Namine's picture, hoping he'd interpreted it right. He then went to work, placing a piece of paper next to the Utahraptor tooth he'd accidently brought back with him. Riku's reply was a little late, but it still got to her in the early evening. It was drawn on some of his own recycled paper, though it was a plain white. It seemed he'd kept some for himself.

It was a picture of himself with Way to the Dawn over his shoulder and a dark firaga-ball hovering in his hand. He's smirking and it looks like the wind is blowing his hair back. It didn't look like he'd spent as much time on drawing himself as he had drawing pictures of Namine in the past, but it was obvious he tried to make himself look good. There was a little arrow pointing to Way to the Dawn. Next to it was written "YES!"

When Riku returned It was a few days before a reply came, but with it came two pictures, one on the front of an envelope. All of them were strangely devoid of the color red. There were three pictures on the paper, though some of the depicted figures were barely more than stick figures since there would then be a lot of people drawn very small. One showed what appeared to be people using their powers. There were two familiar forms drawn as stick figures, but easy to identify by hair color and their Keyblades. Another showed Riku and Link holding a birdlike dinosaur who looked rather scared. The last picture showed a long-necked dinosaur with a smile having pinned Riku to the ground.

The envelope had a picture of a feathered dinosaur that looked a lot like a bird with a long tail. It's plumage was mostly earth tones except for bright blue that ran down its spine and showed brilliantly on its tail. In fact, it looked like the one with Riku and Link. Inside, however, was a feather. While streaked with gray and white, the feather was primarily a bright sky blue.
