Scribbles, Scrawls, and Real Art [Closed]
Characters: Namine and Riku
Content: Riku and Namine continue passing pictures.
Location: Their rooms
Time of Day: Varies
Warnings: Aborbs, funnies, and Riku making bad art.
Riku made it a point to try to get a picture to her the next day. He knew he’d been busy with things, but she did seem to get concerned. However, this week made things a little harder than usual...
The next day the drawing slid under Namine’s door was much worse than normal. Riku was never an artist, and his drawings were proof of this. This one, however, was worse than usual. It was a scribble that looked like a blue, black and yellow fox man... Or something. It was certainly humanoid, but it had a snout and big pointed ears. There was a notable omission of fingers, the most likely explanation for the decrease in technical skill. Beside it was a scrawled question mark.
It was, however, most notable for being drawn on red-speckled paper.

She decided to use red-speckled paper, too. After a moment's thought, she also decided against using her tail; mostly it was out of a sense of fairness. So, as best as she could with her paws, she made a sketch of what she looked like now. It was definitely recognizable as some kind of canine walking on two legs, brown with white spots and a patch of green at the end of the tail.

The reply depicted himself, arms drawn back and a ball of energy in front of him. He was clearly a fighter. Beside that he depicted Namine. Since he had no idea what kind of Pokemon she was outside of appearance, or even what abilities she had, he took note of her long tail. She was depicted jump-roping with it. Beside the picture was another big question mark.

His depiction of his abilities got a smile out of her. Of course he'd be a fighter, even in this form. The other picture made her laugh--she could see where he'd gotten the idea. In answer to his question, she drew a picture of her painting with the tail. So far, that was the extent of the abilities she'd discovered thus far.

He was intrigued by her reply, and outright curious. Riku got to work, drawing up a picture of them both. The scribbles depicted her painting a picture of... Well, no one could really tell with Riku's current drawing talent, but that didn't matter much. Riku himself was looking curiously over her shoulder as she worked, interested to see how it would come out.

She'd decided on chocolate chip cookies today; mostly because Oreos dunked in milk tended to get paws messier than hands. Especially since she had to eat them two-handed in spite of (or maybe because of) how small they were. Paws made picking up small objects difficult.
Difficult or not, she pulled out her crayons and drew on a piece of green recycled paper. It wasn't as good as she might have done as a human, but it was clearly a picture of them in their Pokemon forms. There was Roxas, Sora, and Ven (she'd guessed his form) as Eevee's, with Xion as an Eevee with a very Ditto-ish smile on it's face. She, Riku, and Terra stood off to one side, while Aqua as a Starmie floated over everyone.
Sorry, tough week. -.-
Today, for Riku it was cereal. Frosted mini wheats gave him options. His paw's fingers didn't have the flexibility he would have liked, even less so than Namine's paws. The mini wheats were big enough he could simply grab a few and pop them in his mouth instead of fumbling with the spoon if he wanted.
Riku smiled at the reply, shaking his head slightly. It wasn't exactly the reply he'd hoped for, but that was hard to communicate with just just pictures. Riku used a piece of yellow-tinted recycled paper, drawing with as much skill as he could muster from his paws. It showed all of them standing together, intermingled. However, the ones who weren't Eevees now wore masks. Riku was smirking out from behind his. If you can't beat them...
The reply came about its normal time. But with it was a folded-over note with large letters. The handwriting was horrible, and words were crossed out to be written clearer next to it. "
Ca^Can I 5ee wha+ yourpain+i^g5pain+ings look like?"NP~ I bet it's getting into insanely busy season at the mouse's house.
Today she'd decided to try oatmeal raisin cookies. The kind the cafeteria had were a little bigger than some of the others, so she could actually eat them one-handed. Much better than the other drawing-time snack options at the moment.
His picture actually made her laugh, and though the written message took a moment to decipher, at least now she knew what he'd been asking. She got to work on two different pictures.
The first was hand-drawn on blue recycled paper. It was a picture of all of them as Pokemon again, though this time the Eevee's were wearing masks, and Xion was in her normal Ditto form. The second was a painting on a slightly larger piece of new paper. In it, they were all in their human forms, standing in front of the mansion in Twilight Town. It was actually more lifelike than any picture she'd drawn up till now.
(OOC: Just making a guess about painting quality. ^^;;;;)
