Mission 4
Characters: Xion, Lea, Isa.
Content: Lea and Isa learn what one possible future for them might be.
Location: Cafeteria
Time of day: Afternoon
Warnings: Spoilers for KH 358/2
It was one of those afternoons that hadn’t gone quite as planned. Xion had meant to have some downtime in her room. That was before Lea had found her and reminded her that she’d promised to get ice cream with him and Isa weeks ago. So it had been off to the cafeteria.
Little by little she dropped out of the conversation, simply watching the interaction between the two of them. Lea’s resemblance to Axel (or was it the other way around?) was so clear that it was almost painfully like talking with her best friend at times. Isa, on the other hand...
There were similarities to Saix: his serious attitude and cutting remarks that hinted at those she was used to. However, Isa had never been anything but polite to her. He saved his insults for Lea, who seemed more than capable of brushing them aside or coming back with one of his own. In fact, they seemed to act a lot like Roxas and Axel when they were joking around.
If Axel and Saix had been friends when they were Lea and Isa, why hadn’t Axel said anything? Had they been friends all along, or had something happened to change that? What could happen to make two people stop being friends, anyway?

Lea then noticed they reached the kitchen, “Ahah~ Here we are! Time for some ice cream!” He said as sprinted out to dig out what’s in the freezer.

He glared at Lea for a moment, "Not that you would ever admit it."

Axel had always seemed able to take care of himself against most Heartless. Maybe he'd just had a lot of practice?

“I’m sure Xion here agrees that I can take on anyone if I tried hard enough,” Lea winked at her as he pulled out an ice cream bar for himself.

She turned to Isa. "Or maybe get better with some practice? Axel was really good at..."
She trailed off as she realized what she'd said--or almost said.

Putting a hand on his hip, Lea poked Xion on the nose with other hand. “Besides, it’s no big deal really. Whether I remind ya of him or not, point is I’m still me and that guy’s still Axel,” he a small smile, “Looks like you guys were good friends though. That must mean you’re gonna be good friends with me too, right?”

Lea wasn't able to put two and two together when it came to Axel, but, Isa supposed, it was better that way. Better for Lea to be in the dark about it than to know they were talking a future version of him, anyway. He might not have known anything about Lea's future but... he had an odd feeling about it.

A glance over at Isa caused her to cut herself off there. Different from Saix as he was, she could guess what that look meant. Trying to think of what to say next, she took a bite of her ice cream. "I wonder if one of us will get a "winner" ice cream stick."
