It might take a while, though, if there were a hundred thousand things to see.

In the right combination, light and dark together created something quite beautiful. Individual colors played their own parts, of course, but add shadow to emphasize the light and suddenly shapes were more defined and more real. The lantern festival probably was beautiful--she could imagine the lights against the night sky, like stars, only closer.

She was about to suggest they go see it sometime when he leaned in and...kissed her. For a moment, she went very still, heat rising in her cheeks. She was definitely blushing, though she didn't know why. It hadn't felt bad or wrong, so there was no need to be embarrassed.

When she looked back at him, her surprise was probably evident, as was her confusion. What was she supposed to do now?
