Through Frisbees and the Flames

Character(s): Lea and Isa (Others can come in, but ask us first.)
Content: Lea finds Frisbees and much with the shenanigans ensues.
Setting: Recreation Deck
Time of Day: Afternoon
Warnings: Just Lea if that’s enough warning for ya

Lea was wondering around the recreational deck. Just checking out the usual stuff and exploring around. Might as well with a place like this right? Perhaps he can practice on his basketball or struggle bat skills. Lea opened up one of the closets to try and look for a ball or something, when he saw something catch his eye. His eyes widen and then he gave a big grin. “Heeeey, lookie well what they got here~”

Picking up two dark red Frisbees, Lea twirled them in his hands. Posing like he usually would back home. He jumped up and let one fly around the room then caught it. He gave out a laugh, “Alright! Now we’re talkin’! And here I thought they wouldn’t have these things ‘round here.”

Oh great.

"And here I thought I would finally be rid of those stupid frisbees," Isa deadpanned, ignoring Lea's... antics with the toys. Maybe if Lea had the intention to play with them normally, like most kids, he wouldn't be acting so annoyed. But he knew what Lea would use them for, and Isa wasn't really in the mood.

"Why would I be jealous of that?" Isa said as he glared at Lea.

"Maybe if you were fighting with the ponies." Though given what some of the ponies could do, Isa figured that Lea still couldn't win.

Sora had also wandered down to the recreation deck...on a Satellite like this, it was sometimes easy to go stir-crazy, and he felt he needed some exercise again. As he headed in, however, he noticed Isa and Lea arguing over something or other...and it seemed like Lea had found some frisbees. Now that was somewhat ironic.

He gave a wave as he approached them...hopefully he wasn't intruding on anything too serious or private. "Hey, what's going on?"

"Don't call me that, Lea." Though before Isa was able to say anything else to Lea, he was interrupted by Sora.

"Lea's just being an idiot again, Sora, just ignore him."

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-15 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Sora got a weird feeling of deja vu seeing Lea standing with frisbees like that...it was pretty much exactly the way Axel wielded his chakrams. And considering the last time he had seen him was fighting him directly, or watching Axel fight endless streams of Nobodies, it was a bit jarring compared to a cocky teenager who just wanted to show off. It took him a little bit of just looking between Isa and Lea before he responded. "They're...definitely you!"

And it sounded like Lea was getting on Isa's nerves with that nickname Pinkie Pie had given him. A small smirk crossed his face. "I kinda get the feeling that you're both right."

"I am not jealous of someone who tries to fight with a pair of frisbees." Isa snapped back in annoyance, "And don't encourage him, Sora."

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-15 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Well, Sora was definitely staring at something all right. "I think Lea's pretty good at encouraging himself," Sora answered Isa. At least, that had been his past experience with Axel.

Really? Lea wanted to challenge him to a fight? If he could beat the Organization in a fight, he was pretty certain he could beat a younger, inexperienced version of their moves, even without the Keyblade. "Oh, I think if anyone's gonna be beat here, it's you!" Sora responded.

With that, he headed around to the sides of the deck, until he located a practice sword stacked alongside several other pieces of equipment. It was no Keyblade, but it would do for now.

"So he doesn't need any help in the matter." Lea's ego was big enough already, he didn't need anyone making it any bigger.

Isa walked over to a wall and leaned against it, waiting for the... likely, rather short, fight to start.

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-16 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
'Burn down?' Wow, that was pretty ironic, too. He readied himself with the toy sword, calling up all his fighting instincts, even if this was just for a simple spar.

And after having dealt with Xaldin's six spears or Luxord's multiple cards, he was more than ready for Lea's frisbees. He blocked the first strike, had enough time to reach up and block the second strike, and then brought his sword back around to catch him in the side. He didn't swing with his full strength, however.

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-17 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
Sora grinned...he really did miss a good sparring match, and getting off the first hit was always good. He stepped back as Lea launched his two frisbees at him...at least these weren't on fire. As soon as he saw that throw, he dodge-rolled out of harm's way, jumped back to his feet and swung his sword at Lea again, this time aiming for his shoulder. He knew that Lea would probably have to go retrieve his frisbees, too, and was willing to give him the time to rearm himself...but not before trying to get in at least one hit.

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
This battle ended up finishing a lot sooner than he anticipated, as Lea took that strike to the shoulder and ended up flat. It seemed like Lea still had a lot of practice ahead of him before he got as tough as he did in the future.

Yeah, Sora didn't mind a little bit of praise at his skills. "Hey, who said I was a rookie?" Sora said with a smirk, slinging the wooden sword over his shoulder.

"A draw? What, you don't think you can handle a little bit more?" he teased. He was just getting into it, after all!

beforethemoon: (Don't give me that look.)

[personal profile] beforethemoon 2011-11-24 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
That fight lasted about as long as Isa expected it to. He crossed his arms and shook his head, at least he's not making excuses yet. "The only rookie I see here is you, Lea."

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
Sora scoffed. He definitely knew he wasn't a rookie...not after all he'd been through. Besides, even Phil had said they'd graduated from junior hero! "Heroes know never to quit!"

Sora glanced over to Isa with a little bit of interest. Lea hadn't been that hard, but he definitely remembered fighting Saix...and he had been one of the most vicious opponents he'd ever faced. If Isa did fight, would he end up seeing some of that here, too?

[personal profile] beforethemoon 2011-11-24 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
"Why would I want to?" Isa replied. He... wasn't the fighting type. He had no desire ever too be. It wasn't like he was clueless about it though, he'd spared with Lea once or twice, but it wasn't something he usually did.

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
Complex? Sheesh, that sounded like something Axel would have said. Still, he knew he'd earned that title. "It's not a complex if it's true!" he said.

Sora was about to tell Isa that a sparring match would just be for fun, but then Lea had to go and goad him on. Come to think of it, that would probably do the trick with Isa better than anything. All Lea needed was to start making chicken clucking sounds at him.
beforethemoon: (5)

[personal profile] beforethemoon 2011-11-24 07:25 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not a chicken," He glared at Lea, hoping that he would just go ahead and drop it.

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
Yiiiiiikes. That was embarrassing, even for Sora! Although he had to admit, a part of him got some kind of hidden humor at seeing a Saix look-alike get called a chicken and clucked at. What he wouldn't give to see the expression on Saix's face for that.

[personal profile] beforethemoon 2011-11-24 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
All things considered, the look on Saix's face probably wouldn't be all that different than the one currently on Isa's. Isa had no other reaction to Lea's clucking other than the glare on his face getting darker. "Shut up, Lea."

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 07:48 am (UTC)(link)
That reaction was pretty intense on Isa's part...for the stoic front he put up, Sora had the idea that he did have a bit more anger underneath that. And with how much Lea was goading him on, he was surprised he hadn't exploded on him yet.

Sora didn't egg Isa on in this particular case...just gripped his wooden sword a bit more and waited to see what he'd do.

[personal profile] beforethemoon 2011-11-24 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
Isa reached out and grabbed Lea by the scarf. "Don't call me that. And I'm not a chicken... you're more of a chicken than I am, Lea." Maybe not about getting in fights, but Isa knew Lea wasn't the type to like getting scared at all.

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
This was getting a little bit out of control...Sora supposed that Isa did have a breaking point, and Lea was currently touching on it. Perhaps it would be best to divert his attention to elsewhere.

"Come on, Isa, it's just a bit of a sparring match," he said. "Just for the fun of it! I don't think it'll take long."
beforethemoon: (side-eyes)

[personal profile] beforethemoon 2011-11-25 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Isa turned his attention to Sora, unceremoniously dropping Lea back onto the ground. It was clear that Sora... wasn't really used to the way he and Lea interacted, Isa had meant Lea no harm, and Lea knew that, it was just... how they acted with each other.

Still, it looked like Isa wasn't getting out of a spar with Sora.

"Fine."

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Sora was glad to see him let go of Lea...even if it meant Lea ended up on the floor. He wasn't sure what to think of that kind of friendship between them. Sure, he and Riku had their rivalry and fought each other, but they never got into arguments that looked like that.

But they were going to fight now, so Sora would see how it turned out. "All right!" Sora said, and readied the sword again. Would Isa be using moves that Saix did?

[personal profile] beforethemoon 2011-11-30 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Isa went over to the pile of toy weapons to find something that would work for him, he settled on a foamy bat.

He got into something that resembled a fighting stance, though it was unpolished. And, curiously, he was holding the bat backhanded, not unlike how Saix would hold his weapon.

"Let's just get this over with."

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Even before Isa got into his fighting stance, Sora got a flash from the toy weapons...man, those looked pretty familiar to the ones he'd seen in Twilight Town. And then Isa got ready to fight, and Sora felt shades of Saix, too.

At least he's not going to be throwing multiples of that bat at me... He thought.

With a nod, Sora launched himself at Isa, swinging the toy sword around to catch him over the shoulder.

[personal profile] beforethemoon 2011-11-30 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Isa didn't even try to fight back, he just let himself get hit in the shoulder. "Well, Sora won." He deadpanned.

[identity profile] optimistickey.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
That was not at all the counter that Sora had been expecting. He backed off, a disappointed frown on his face. What fun was a sparring match if Isa wasn't even going to try?

"Oh, come on! You can do better than that."
