Rockin' Around The Charlie Brown Christmas Tree [OPEN]

Characters: Anyone and everyone!
Content: Get your Christmas Party on!
Location: The Weapons Deck
Time of day: Evening of Christmas Day, after people have gotten presents
Warnings: None...for now...

[Since the Weapons Deck is totally empty, Mike and the Bots have taken it upon themselves to transform it for a rockin’ good Christmas Party! The Charlie Brown Tree has been safely set aside too; all decorated up. There’s a table with punch, food and way too many desserts for any group of people to handle, a bunch of Christmas decorations thanks to Rarity and her decorating crew, and even Christmas music that’s only slightly annoying!

Characters are free to come in and grab food, mingle, play games, exchange gifts or stories...whatever they want! Obviously, treat this thread as party-style.

There’s one more special note...there’s a couple bowls of punch sitting next to a big pan of Green Bean Casserole of Tranquility. Unfortunately, Crow accidentally mixed in some leftover Waters of Forgetfulness to make the punch. That water, combined with the spicy punch flavoring, has created an unusual concoction. If your characters drink some of this punch, they won’t notice anything wrong...at least yet!]

No way in hell was Roxas going to give Sora a chance to slip free now. It might not be so easy to catch him again if that happened.

"She's right, Sora," Roxas chimed in, hoping some small bit of reason might get through, "Tomorrow might be a better time for that."

Now Sora just couldn't understand why they were determined to put off all of this exciting stuff. He had all this energy now. Everything seemed awful interesting right now!

"The party's not over yet!" he protested, this time a little louder and more forcefully, and fought harder against them. "It's not even late!"

He struggled to get some traction with his shoes on the metal floor, at least enough to go and jump off somewhere or get running again.

Harvey just chuckled a little and shook his head. Truth was, he didn't even mind Star Trek all that much most of the time; besides, Munro was a good guy. He might actually hold Iron to that if she didn't watch out, though.

His humor evaporated as he cast a quick glance around, then leaned a little closer with a sympathetic look. "Hey. You doin' alright?" He didn't have to say anything else; he knew how the holidays were for her.

It was ironic that Terra wished Aqua were here to help diffuse what was quickly becoming an awkward situation. At least that was how Terra saw it, seeing as he he felt awkward just standing there not quite knowing what to say to Roxas. He hesitated, his eyes drifting to the table filled with food, "Enjoying yourself so far?"

Liz blinked at Harvey's change in mood. That's right, he would notice, wouldn't he. She smiled a little and shrugged.

"Just trying not to think about it, really. I mean, there's only so much I can do, right?

"I just hope they're not too worried about me. The last thing I need is some miraculous chance to see them again and suddenly I'm in an episode of Doctor Who."

There was a pause before she realized what she said, and shrugged again sheepishly. "Well...moreso than usual, any way."

No, it wasn't late. And yes, the party was still going. But if Sora wanted to be stubborn, well. It wasn't like Aqua was unused to that, and she shifted so more of her weight fell onto Sora. He wasn't going anywhere without her being okay with it first.

"There will be parties later. We aren't asking you to go to sleep, Sora."

"We only began to team in July, so yes, as a group it would have been our first," he replied. He did not feel like he should hide the fact he was part of a team any more. Others could assume what they wanted since it was not as though he needed to go into detail about how they were a covert operation under the Justice League. When Artemis and Wally had been here he had already identified them as his friends anyway. "I suppose it is not that big of an event and it is not like there will never be another opportunity for it."

He smiled slightly, "Unless you were planning to drink all of it, I would not mind a cup."

"Party. Cannon?" He examined the cannon again. That seemed a very appropriate name for it, to be sure. He shook his head, "I must admit I have never seen one such as this before. Is it of your own invention?" He honestly would not put it passed the pony to be able to make a cannon such as this one, even with only hooves to work with. Although, he was fairly certain it defied physics...somehow. He wondered what Wally would make of it.

Roxas had been expecting Sora to resist, though not quite this vehemently. Still, he held firm and hoped that, in the morning when his head was hopefully clear, Sora would understand why exactly they had to put a damper on his fun.

Sora had gone beyond stubborn at this point, and was just starting to get erratic. "Come ON! Stop being all mean about it!" he yelled. Didn't either of them want to have fun here?!

He began to fight a lot harder, putting on a huge burst of energy. He wrested back and forth against both, straining to free both his arms, although to do so without actually hurting either of them. And at least in one instance, he managed to wrestle out of the grasp of one of his friends. With one arm free, he brought it around to try and pry the other one free so that he could take off again. The whole situation again struck him as funny, as he kept laughing at Aqua and Roxas's faces all while fighting them.

And then, almost just as suddenly as it had begun, all that energy ran out. Apparently Aqua had been more on the mark than first thought, because the moment Sora stopped struggling, he slumped over and immediately fell asleep with a dopey grin on his face.

Harvey shrugged. "I'm sure they know you're fine. You're tough, Iron. And hey - who knows what could happen up here?" He didn't want to go giving her false hope or anything, but...well, he really wouldn't have been surprised if the kid's parents suddenly sprang outta her closet or something one morning.

Anyway, this was a Christmas party. Best thing for homesickness was probably a good dose of distraction. "Want some punch or somethin'?" he asked, gesturing towards the buffet table. "Cookies look alright, even if that psycho pony didn't make 'em."

While Sora would argue that Christmas was indeed a big event, at least Kaldur was right in that this wouldn't be the last one for any of them. Thinking about it, it was kind of weird that Sora had been a team with Donald and Goofy longer than Kaldur had his team...but then again, part of that was because they'd been asleep for a year. "Yeah! When you get back home, then you can have a really great Christmas together."

"Nah, I think I can save some for you!" Sora joked, and scooped up some punch into a cup before handing it over to Kaldur.

For a guy who could dunk just by getting up on his tiptoes, Harry could be surprisingly quiet when he wanted to be. A fact which if known to his friends and enemies would likely blow their minds.

Well, if he was going to be sneaky, the least he could do was bring drinks. This was why Xion had a mug of hot chocolate sudden offered to her.

"Hey now, you're supposed to leave the wallflowering to old nerds like me."

There was a moment of silence from Aqua after Sora collapsed. She hadn't meant to be quite that on the mark. Still, it wasn't going to do to leave him collapsed on the stairs, so with a soft sigh she bent to pick Sora up.

"Do you know where his room is?" Aqua asked Roxa, once she was satisfied that she wasn't going to drop Sora.

"Yeah, so far." Except for all the awkward, anyway, but Roxas kept that to himself. It wasn't likely it needed to be stated. Of course, that left him with nothing else to say and so there was awkward silence.

Roxas was worried at first when Sora suddenly conked out, though he calmed down when it became apparent that the dork was only asleep. As to the question...

"Uh... I know my room is close to it." And that was more or less it, "Maybe Riku or Namine knows exactly?" He was leaning towards asking Namine since he hadn't even seen Riku yet today.

Huh. Now that was a good question. Maes was taken aback at first but the reminded himself that this WAS her first party, although now it was starting to sound like her first party PERIOD, not just a Christmas party. Now he wasn't sure how to explain this and frowned with thought, "Well, you don't necessarily have to meet boys. Mostly you just go to parties to have fun. But if you want to dance and, I dunno, find a date or something then usually you try to talk and meet with boys." He shook his head, "The point is to have fun though, so if that doesn't sound like fun to you don't worry about it."

"I'll see what I can do. Galadriel taught me a little--I think I can manage their outfits." It would be nice to be able to do something for Sora just because she wanted to, and not because she was repairing damage she caused.

"Okay." She got another cup and poured it half-full of root beer, then handed it to Roxas. Hers was a little more full, but since they didn't know yet whether or not he liked root beer, she thought it was better to have him try just a little.

She was lucky that Sora and Roxas were willing to not hold her past actions against her. It didn't keep her from thinking that an apology was owed.

"Why don't we meet up tomorrow, then? I can give you a tour."

It was easy to use Cambot to ask for help, but it was better to have someone with you that knew where everything was--including the spots to avoid.

"Thanks." Roxas did actually like root beer, but he just couldn't remember when he'd figured it out. Still, everyone had a favorite brand on sodas and his favorite was only available in Twilight Town, so her caution about whether or not he liked this one was still valid.

He couldn't say for sure whether or not she should apologize for her actions. It was up to her, though for some, sometimes the one who owed or felt they owed the apology needed to give it, for their own sake. As such, if she felt she really needed to apologize to him, he would accept it.

He smiled at that, "Sounds like a plan."

It hadn't occurred to him yet that there were other reasons to have someone show him around... such as places he might want to stay away from.

((OoC: Do we want to log this? It could also be their serious talk time that they ought to have.))

"Oh! I see--Thanks." That cleared up most of her confusion. So many of these social things could be more complicated than she realized; or maybe she thought too much. The Organization had been no place to learn about this sort of thing, though, and working with what she had of Sora's memories was tricky, or so she was finding. She was vaguely aware of dates and that sort of thing, though how those differed from simply spending time with a friend she wasn't sure yet. That was a question for another day, though.

For now, she could just try to enjoy her first party.

Xion did as he said, pleasantly surprised that she was catching on so quickly. "This isn't as hard as I thought!"

"There are different types and all, but this is as much as I really know," MakubeX said. "And, of course, things change with slower songs."
