It had taken some finagling, but Maes figured now was as good a time as any to break out his Christmas surprise for everyone. Well, okay, mostly the kids on the SoL, but he figured other people might enjoy it too. After having hung around the party for a few hours he slipped out and headed back to his room to change clothes and get his bag together. A few minutes later and Maes had on a very familiar red suit and hat with white trim. He had even stuffed a pillow into his pants to give the illusion of a round belly. The final touch was, of course, a white beard and wig that he'd taken from the costumes on the theater deck.

He headed back to the party in this get-up, a large sack stuffed with presents tossed over his shoulder. It had been difficult to get all of this together, especially since he didn't know all of the kids that well, but he was confident in making this as convincing as possible.

Maes Hughes stepped through the door and cried out, "HO HO HO! Merry Christmas, everyone!"
