Crow was pretty excited here...he finally got to fly around the SOL on his own, like a real crow! And now that he and everyone else had turned into weird battle monsters, or 'Pokemon' as Harvey had said, there was sure to be a whole bunch of fun fights that he could watch! ...And perhaps, participate in, if he was feeling up to it. He could definitely kick Servo’s butt in these kinds of battles, anyway.

So, he had staked himself out in the rafters near the top of the recreation deck, holding a small prop microphone in his claws. If there was one thing he excelled at, it was hilarious commentary!

“Allllllrighty, let’s see who’s gonna come out on top on this week’s colorful battle monster tournament of PAIN!”

Wilykit watched as Riku and Roxas stared each other down (or whatever Riku was doing with that blindfold on, anyway), obviously ill at ease with each other. Tension from unresolved issues radiated between the two of them, so whatever was going on, it was probably personal.

Not that it stopped Wilykit from neatly leaping right into the middle of it in an attempt at breaking the awkward silence.

"What's the blindfold for?" she asked, waving a paw in Riku's line of sight (being too small to actually reach his face at the moment).

Riku blinked, though no one could see that, at Wilykit. He looked down at her as if he weren't wearing anything at all, and smirked a little with a shrug. "Mostly to show off." At least he was honest. "Back home I had the power of darkness. I could see when it was pitch black. I needed to hide my eyes, so I wore one of these without any handicaps. Now I can sense people by detecting their auras."

Little did Riku realize that he had just given Wilykit plenty of new questions to pester him about.

"Really? Cool! How did that work? And why'd you have to hide your eyes? Did the light hurt them or something?"

...Yeah, she was probably going to be at this for a while.

The smirk slowly faded from Riku's face as he looked down at her. Even in this form he was still taller. His expression grew somber, as did his tone.

Though Riku didn't know the answer to the first question, he also didn't attempt to reply to it. His reply came simply, softly, and with a deep tone. He looked up at nothing in particular.

"My eyes couldn't lie."

Likewise, Wilykit lost her cheerfully curious grin as she saw Riku's grim expression. Was whatever happened really that bad?

Kit opened her mouth to ask Riku what exactly he meant about his eyes not being able to lie, but thought better of it. Whatever it was, it was obviously a very painful memory for him. Instead, she just gave a quiet little "Oh..." in response.
