Crow was pretty excited here...he finally got to fly around the SOL on his own, like a real crow! And now that he and everyone else had turned into weird battle monsters, or 'Pokemon' as Harvey had said, there was sure to be a whole bunch of fun fights that he could watch! ...And perhaps, participate in, if he was feeling up to it. He could definitely kick Servo’s butt in these kinds of battles, anyway.

So, he had staked himself out in the rafters near the top of the recreation deck, holding a small prop microphone in his claws. If there was one thing he excelled at, it was hilarious commentary!

“Allllllrighty, let’s see who’s gonna come out on top on this week’s colorful battle monster tournament of PAIN!”

Sora was also eager to do a little sparring with the wooden Keyblades that Terra had made for them. However, it was just a little strange seeing Xion look not just like an Eevee, but almost exactly like he did. But, with how she usually looked...perhaps this kind of change made sense.

"Sure!" Sora got himself into a fighting stance. "I wanna see if you have the same abilities I do..."

If Sora thought it was strange that her Eevee form looked a lot like his, then it would be best if he never suggested going back in time with Xion. Not only would the return of her abilities probably have negative side effects for him, one never knew when her appearance might change to look like him away from whatever the satellite was doing to stabilize things.

Xion readied herself, too. "If I don't maybe I could learn them."

Sora never even thought about that...he probably would have assumed that since they were all here, they could all use their own powers, but there was no telling what would happen if they tried to go back in time together.

"Well, let's try them out!" Sora said, and once he was ready, he reared back and charged straight at Xion with his head bent down, headbutting her.

There was a reason Xion had no desire to try the time machine. She didn't talk about it, though, since she was probably the only one on the ship who didn't want certain of her abilities back.

"Okay!" She rolled to absorb the worst of the impact, then tried to counter with the same move once she was back on her feet.

That move also hit home, and Sora was thrown back a bit from the force of it. He stood, and shook out his head.

"Guess you can! Okay let's see about this one..."

He wondered if she could duplicate this attack, since it seemed to be particularly based on his emotions. He drew on all the thoughts of his friends, of the worlds he'd seen, of things he wanted to do...anything and everything that made him happiest. Using that happiness, he again threw his whole body into the attack, and hit her hard with everything he had.

That sent her rolling back a few feet, even winded her slightly. She pulled herself up and shook her head to clear it, looking at him in surprise. "How did you do that?"

It hadn't looked any different from the previous attack, but it was definitely stronger. Maybe it was a kind of limit break? They hadn't particularly weakened each other yet, but sometimes you could use them before you reached the crisis point.

Sora waited for her to recover, since it looked like that one had really hit. He thought it was his strongest attack out of the four he'd been able to do (at least without also hurting himself in the process.)

He shrugged a bit. "It's hard to describe...for that one, I just kept thinking about my friends and stuff...everything that makes me really happy! And just used that power to attack." He'd never heard of anything like limit breaks, and didn't know how to use those.

Xion appreciated the recovery time. A major disadvantage of being a Ditto was that she first had to get used to a new form and then test its abilities--none of which came instinctively to a Ditto.

If Sora didn't know limit breaks, she'd have to tell him about them sometime; they were useful. For now, though, she was content to focus on this. "Happy" wasn't something she was used to thinking about, but she knows friends. Once she had a clear image of them and her mental state when she was around them, she got into a "ready" position again, then ran at him.

"Like this?"

Sora couldn't tell for sure if she got it or not, considering the fact that he couldn't tell if she was really happy right now or not, but figured it was best to give the benefit of the doubt. It was up to Xion how well she used her own emotions. "Sure, give it a try!"

The tricky thing was that, being used to thinking of herself as having no emotions, Xion wasn't used to monitoring her feelings closely or thinking of them as feelings. If she were, she'd know that she was about as happy as she could get.

She charged at Sora, slamming into him full force. Once she'd recovered from the impact, she looked around to see if he was okay.

Sora prepared himself for the blow, but still got knocked back a little bit when she used that emotion-filled attack back on him. Even though that definitely hurt, it also gave Sora a bit of hope and confidence...it meant for sure that Xion could have her own emotions and draw on that power. And it especially meant that she could be happy!

All of that Sora found encouraging, and it showed on his face when he shook himself out and got back up. "Yeah, it works like that!"

For her part Xion was relieved to see that, though this one seemed to have hit harder than her first try, Sora bounced back pretty well. She even found herself grinning back at him. "So that's one down."

If she knew what he was thinking, she probably would have countered with the possibility that she was just able to manage in imitation of happiness. So it was just as well that she didn't.

As for himself, Sora never saw the point in debating an imitation of happiness with real happiness...it was all happiness, right? So, he was happy to see Xion smile about it.

"Can you only copy other moves, or do you have special ones of your own?"

Sadly, Xion hadn't inherited that dislike of quibbling over words, but they were spared it in this instance, fortunately.

Her expression sobered as she answered his question. "I don't think so. The only abilities I have that nobody else does seems to be shapeshifting and imitating attacks."

It seems fitting for her.

Sora noticed that she looked a little down about this, although he admittedly didn't know how to make her feel better about that. Maybe he could put a more positive spin on it.

"Well...that means that you can do all kinds of different things! Whereas the rest of us just have a couple of different abilities."

Not necessarily down, but not happy about it either. It is what it is. Though Sora's attempt to cheer her up has some effect; she smiles a little, even if it's mostly because he's being, well...Sora.

"I just have to make sure to try lots of different forms."

Well, he was happy to see his cheer had some effect on her. Sora nodded. "Right!"
