Pokemon Battle Free-For-All!

Crow was pretty excited here...he finally got to fly around the SOL on his own, like a real crow! And now that he and everyone else had turned into weird battle monsters, or 'Pokemon' as Harvey had said, there was sure to be a whole bunch of fun fights that he could watch! ...And perhaps, participate in, if he was feeling up to it. He could definitely kick Servo’s butt in these kinds of battles, anyway.

So, he had staked himself out in the rafters near the top of the recreation deck, holding a small prop microphone in his claws. If there was one thing he excelled at, it was hilarious commentary!

“Allllllrighty, let’s see who’s gonna come out on top on this week’s colorful battle monster tournament of PAIN!”

Sora just sighed and huffed. Was he really that funny? Just because he was small and fluffy didn't mean he couldn't pack a punch!

"Yeah. A Keyblade would be pretty useful around here sometimes..." Sora said.

"Well, this for one!" Most of his abilities that he'd seen so far really only worked when he used them to attack an opponent, so he went with the one that he could still show off. In this case, he leaped back and forth in front of Lea with such great speed that it would have looked like there was suddenly two or three of him.

Lea let his head raise up in a sorta of awe, and took a step back as he watched Sora swift around. He blinked momentarily then gave a big grin. “Coooool! Hey! I wanna see I can do something!” Lea said already excited about their new found abilities.

Getting on all fours, Lea grinned up to Sora, “Wanna watch me try?”

Well, at least Lea was impressed by that! And at least he could do that without making himself too tired or dizzy yet.

"Sure!" He readied himself to dodge the attack if necessary.

Lea positioned himself, and began to concentrate. Then right there flames started to swirls up and around him in a circle. Much like a wheel. Then once they gathered all together they shot across the platform, he directed the attack as much away from Sora as he could so it won’t hit him, as it bursted across the floor till it disappeared. Lea gave a smirk to Sora, “Aw yea, looks like I got some talent~!”

Even though Lea directed his attack away from him, Sora still had to sidestep a bit to avoid his fur getting singed. That was pretty impressive...and somehow, a bit ironic for him putting out a fire attack like a wheel.

And of course, Lea would get a bit cocky about it. "Yeah...so, what else ya got?" Sora asked.

“Well~ Let’s see…” Lea let himself re-position himself again to try to think of another ability he could muster up in this form. The flames on him began to burst up again. Lea let the flames dance around him almost like it was a snake he then rushed with the flames straight toward the wall till it evaporated again. He shook his head off, feeling a little dizzy after he let himself ram into the wall, but it wasn’t too hard so he was all right.

“Heh, guess that’s the charge one,” Lea said as he brushed off his paws.

Sora stepped aside again at Lea's next attack; that one also took up quite a bit of room! Although it looked like it also made Lea a bit dizzy, the same way one of his attacks tired him out moreso than usual. "Pretty cool!"

"So I guess it's all fire attacks, huh?" Considering Lea, he wasn't surprised.

Lea smirked, yea, he totally is digging out some of his awesome abilities already. He hummed in thought when Sora question if they were all fire attacks, “You know I dunno, I think I only tried out those two. I know I got like two more but I’ll have test ‘em out. Let’s see…”

Concentrating, Lea then closed his eyes as his flames lit again, but this time he created large amount of smoke between both of them… Which soon filled in the area. Which made Lea confused, and coughed, “Wha-Hah? Smoke? I got smoke?-Gag! Where-Wha-Sora where are you?”

Sora wasn't sure how much more he should encourage Lea's ego, but at the same time, it was fun to see what he and everyone else could do.

This next move, however, wasn't nearly as cool or neat-looking. The sudden plumes of smoke made Sora's eyes water, and he backed away from the cloud and from Lea, coughing and trying to wave away the smoke with one paw. "*COUGH* --I'm back here!" He tried to rub at his eyes; all this smoke was making it near impossible to see. "What the heck was that?"

Making way through the smoke, Lea coughed and hacked, shaking his head. He grumbled at it in annoyance as got near Sora, “I dunno! Gack, it’s some kind smoke screen thing!”

Lea made a cough or two before the smoke finally started to clear away. He looked down in disappointment, he was hoping for something cooler than that! Lea groaned, “Aw man, sorry Sora, didn’t expect that ta happen.”

At last, the smoke started to dissipate a bit, although it still stung at his eyes. Had they been in an actual fight, Sora probably couldn't haven seen any oncoming attacks. Sora waved the rest aside as Lea approached him. "Yeah...ugh, that's pretty messy."

It looked like Lea was kinda disappointed, too. "You sure you wanna try any more of those?" If this kind of unexpected thing could happen...what if one of them was to blow yourself up or something?

Lea shook his head, “Tch, I think that’s enough for today. Good to know where there’s smoke there’s fire though.”

Giving a half of a smirk at Sora, he got an idea, “Heeeey, how about we have a little one on one. See how well we work out in battle with this~?”

"Not surprising!" Sora waved away the rest of the smoke as it finally started to clear. It still stung his eyes a little bit, but it wasn't enough to blind him like when it'd first happened.

"All right, you're on!" Sora said. Now that he knew how most of Lea's attacks worked, he'd have to do his best to avoid them. Luckily, he didn't feel particularly fearful of any of them...not like the way Spike was fearful of any water near his tail. Sora crouched down, prepared to attack.

“Get ready to feel the heat!” Lea crouched down himself, already starting to feel pretty confident about this spar. He gave a wicked grin as the flames on his back and head got intense. He gave a growl then started his attack first attack with the fire wheel. Spinning the flames toward Sora.

Wow, that was such an Axel line. While Sora tried to jump out of the way when that fire wheel came at him, the range of it was broad and very difficult to avoid. As such, he still caught some of that fire, and it singed his fur pretty badly.

Sora winced and shook himself out...he could keep going for now. He did what seemed appropriate for starting...he used his best move to make himself more evasive. He began darting back and forth at a great speed, making himself move so fast that it would appear to Lea that there were two or three of him around.

Looks like Sora can’t stand the heat. A smirk still was quite clear on his face. Moving around he waved his paws in the air before positioning himself on all fours. Then noticing Sora started to make his move. He growled when he started to see more than one of him. Without thinking Lea first thought was to try and catch him.

Charging at one of the images of Sora, the flames enlarging around him as tried to ram himself into Sora, crying out in the midst of excitement, “BURN BABY!”

Unfortunately for Lea, his next fire attack was aimed at one of the illusions Sora created, rather than actually at himself. So Sora was able to easily avoid it, and jumped off to the side. That shout from Lea was not at all unlike ones from Axel when fighting the horde of Nobodies, and it was a bit jarring for him.

Sora decided to retaliate with what he'd discovered was best attack. He brought up all of his happiest memories; all the thoughts of his friends and the great fun they had together, and channeled that into his attack. With that feeling of happiness and friendship powering him, he charged at Lea in a full-body attack.

Well, Lea didn’t see that coming. Skidding into a halt as discovered he went through one of Sora’s illusions. He whipped himself around. Only to meet Sora and his full-body attack, he fell to the ground with a fuzz ball on top of him. He flailed a bit giving a slight groan and growl as hit the ground.

At least those illusions were doing the trick! Sora rolled off of Lea as they both went sprawling, and jumped back onto his feet. One good hit down! He backed up and lowered his head, preparing to charge again as soon as the opportunity presented itself.

Lea shook himself before standing back up. He gave a little snarl, as the flames on his back rose. Getting ready for the next attack Lea, decided to go for the smoke this time. Opening his mouth, this time concentrating, he created a smoke screen to try to distract Sora. Hoping to catch him off guard.

Shoot, he should have realized that that smoke attack would show up again...if he could make it difficult for Lea to hit him, then Lea could, too. Sora couldn't stop himself in time, and he sprinted into the smoke screen. He coughed and squeezed his eyes shut, already feeling his eyes water from all the smoke in them.

Since he already had the momentum, he continued his charge forward to try and headbutt Lea, but wasn't sure now if he was anywhere close to hitting home or not.

Got ‘em! Now that there’s a distraction for Sora, he smirked as he spread himself out to start the firewheel. When Sora headed for him, he was able to get himself to dodge in time. He smirked and then pulled his firewheel attack on Sora. It spun it’s way toward Sora through the midst of the smoke.

His attack missed, and he skidded to a halt before his momentum brought him into a wall. Sora spun around back towards where he thought Lea could be by now, out of the smoky cloud but still rubbing at his eyes.

Unfortunately, Lea's fire wheel attack was very large and hard to miss. And since he was still trying to clear out his eyes, he didn't see it coming soon enough to try and dodge. The flames hit him hard enough to knock him over. His fur was still smoking as he stood up again slowly, shaking out his head. That knocked out a lot more of his energy than he would have liked.

Lea gave a wicked grin, seeing his attack hit. He gave a little snicker at his successful attack. Time for the next attack~ “Won’t forget this!” Lea charged at Sora once again, flames coming toward the fluffball, this time crying, “Got it memorized?!”

Whether it was Lea or Axel, he could never forget an attitude like that! He had to get the advantage back, here. Even with new abilities, fighting without the Keyblade was hard for him.

Since his illusions move had worked well before, he decided to try it again as Lea charged at him. Any more hard hits like that and he'd probably go down. So he leaped back and forth with great speed, making it appear to be multiple versions of him...hopefully Lea's attack would hit an illusion instead.
