Pearl: Heeeeya Frank, I called in a temp wildlife agency to get ya set up on that ol' Satellite. They should have all the stuff you need to organize up there now.

Frank: Gosh, thanks, Pearl! You sure have been helpful!

Pearl: Ohh, I know! And I'll be done down here in a jiffy!

[Wait...how did this happen? Characters will discover at the start of their day that the entrances to all of their bedrooms have been outfitted with cages! If they try to walk into their rooms, they’ll get trapped. What’s more, the decks are also peppered with cages with tasty bait inside. Step inside to get it, and you'll get stuck!]

[This log is party-style...animals can be smart enough to avoid the traps and try to get rid of them, or potentially get caught! If they do get caught, then characters that are currently human can go around freeing them...or anything else they want to!]

Xion hadn't been expecting a trap right at the door to her room, though she probably should have. Much like Kotetsu she paced, tail swishing.

Amaterasu was more than a little annoyed at the sudden traps that seemed to have sprung up overnight, even though she herself was now human...she was a firm believer in letting animals and nature run free, so this kind of aggression did not sit well with her.

She had already stumbled across a few traps in the halls, but didn't discover anyone actually stuck in them until she came across Xion's room, with the door left open. She looked down, and found the small black cat stuck inside the trap just inside the door.

"Xion?"

Xion didn't have that much experience with animals or nature to have strong opinions regarding those, but she despised traps and cages of any kind. Hence her pacing and the occasional low growl.

She calmed visibly when she saw Ammy, even if it did take her a moment to recognize her friend in human form. Then there was the fact that Ammy could talk now...It didn't take her long to recover.

"Yeah, it's me."

Ammy didn't bother to ask how she'd gotten herself stuck in a trap...it was obvious it'd been placed in her room, and the issue now was not how she'd gotten there, but how to get back out.

"Hold on just a moment. I'll try to open this..."

The problem was, she wasn't really familiar with traps at all, and didn't quite know how to get this one to work. She tried prying the door open, but there seemed to be a catch on the outside that also required someone to pull on it, and she couldn't figure out exactly the trick between both the door and the catch. What she wouldn't give for a cherry bomb right now...

The "how" behind the situation really was pretty obvious, but Xion wouldn't have minded being asked. On the other hand, if skipping the topic got her out of this all the more quickly...

"Thank you."

She moved closer to the latch, trying to see if there was anything she could do to help from her end. She wasn't familiar with traps, either, but two sets of eyes were better than one.

She continued trying to pull on the door, and then on the latch, but this style of lockpicking (or trappicking?) just wasn't her forte. After another minute of trying to figure it out, she turned back to look down at Xion.

"Can you tell how this would open from your end? I admit I don't have much experience with these sorts of things..." Even a key lock she'd do better with.

Xion waited patiently as Ammy tried to work the latch by herself. Having always used the Keyblade, she wasn't that used to the finer points of locks--especially this kind--so she couldn't blame Ammy for having trouble.

She padded over to get a closer look. "Okay, I think first you'll want to..."

She began doing her best to try to describe how Ammy could try to undo the latch.

Ammy listened carefully as Xion explained the lock to her. Okay, so it sounded like she had to hold the catch open while prying the door open. She tried it again, and was able to hold the door open so that Xion could run out.

"There you go!"

"Thank you!" Xion ran out, then stretched once she was finally free. Then, because it seemed to be the thing to do in this form, she started twining around Ammy's ankles. She paused once to give the cage a dirty look.

"You are welcome."

Ammy was happy to see that she'd managed to free Xion. Considering the lengths she'd gone to to help Kabegami, the cat god of walls, just getting a cage open was nothing. When Xion began twining around her ankles, she reached down and carefully picked her up to pet her, making sure that she still had wiggle room to jump free if she didn't like it.

This was the third time Xion had been in an animal form, and while she hadn't noticed it as much as a pony, or in some ways even as a Pokemon, she found that she wasn't as awkward about things like being hugged, picked up--or petted--while an animal. She settled into enjoy the attention.

"Have you seen any of the others."

Since Xion didn't seem to mind it, she continued the pets and hugs. She liked animals anyway, so actually having this strange option to hold and pet them was a nice part of being human. Besides, she figured it would help calm Xion after being stuck in that box.

"No, not yet. But I planned to continue looking."

It was funny, because if she'd been in her normal, human form, Xion wouldn't have been very comfortable with petting and cuddling, but as a cat it felt right. Not to mention that it was helping her calm down.

"I can help."

That decided, she wriggles to get into a better position to jump down. She can't help if she's being carried, after all.

Once Xion started to wriggle free, Ammy let her go and bent down so that she could jump down easier. They probably could cover more ground this way...and she could help again if Xion stumbled across a trap that was hidden too well.

"All right then, let's keep looking."

Xion appreciated Ammy making it easier for her to jump down. It really would be easier to look around if they both could move a little more freely.

"Okay, so I guess we start here?"

"There seem to be plenty of traps on this floor, so we may as well begin here." Ammy begin walking down the hall, searching our rooms that had been rigged with traps.

"If only there was a place to put all of these so that they were out of the way."

"It'll be easy to work our way down, too." Recon was best done systematically--she remembered that.

"Maybe we can use an empty room?"
