Random Encounters Everywhere

Characters: Anyone and everyone that wants to go questing!
Content: Characters hit various random encounters around the Satellite - Part 1
Location: Any deck
Time of Day: Throughout the day
Warnings: Fighting and violence against monsters

[This is an open party-style log! A random encounter begins when the area around your characters suddenly flashes with white light, and they find themselves transported to a flat, mostly-blank dimension. The monsters will be NPC'd reacting to your characters attacking them.]

The Satellite had certainly turned strange this week. Now, any characters wearing their now outfits were liable to suddenly find themselves in strange pocket dimensions...ones full with the most random of encounters!

The fight wasn't terrible surprising. The fact that they'd been pulled off into some other dimension, on the other hand, was. There weren't very many spells that could do that sort of thing, or not that she'd heard of. On the other hand, the enemies ranged against them didn't seem terribly threatening, even if it was only the solid - and not quite familiar - weight of her staff in her hand that kept her from simply heading in swinging.

Instead, she turned to her magic instead, casting Fire on the bat. It's not what she'd prefer to use, but if she had to stick with the more basic spells, it's not like she couldn't simply turn to hit the other monsters with it at well. Or at least, that was the theory. In practice, she ended up only casting the single spell before she simply... stopped, without even meaning to.

"I'm... not actually sure," she answered, confusion evident in her voice.

Seeing how they were suited up for battle, Liz's first instinct upon seeing their first encounter was to charge in with this bigass sword of hers, but she couldn't move. She watched Roxas and Aqua move in turn, also confused about their selective paralysis, and she realized what was happening, especially as she found herself now able to move.

"Of course! It's all turn-based! Well that gives us a little time to plan at least."

And she took her turn, grasping her sword tightly and charging forward, swinging at the bat that Aqua just set ablaze, and jumping back once her blow struck before she stopped in her place.
