Characters: Pinkie and everyone else!
Content: Meet and greet party! Get to know your fellow SoL'ers! THREADJACK EVERYTHING
Location: Deck 4
Time of Day: Next...Monday Evening, A.D.? o.0
Warnings: Sugar and hyperactivity

A few minutes ago, the following message went out over the Cambot network:

YOU'RE INVITED!

Welcome to the Satellite Party! Right now on Deck 4!

Come get to know everyone and make new friends! Refreshments will be provided! Everyone welcome!

Even though she hasn't had very long to get the party ready, Pinkie's still somehow found time to completely furnish Deck 4 with tablecloths, balloons, and streamers. She's already found the media deck, too; there's a hastily gathered collection of party music. There's also a punch bowl, a sheet cake that reads "SATELLITE OF PARTY", and some cupcakes, just in case the first cake isn't big enough for everyone. The pony herself is standing by the door wearing a party hat and nearly vibrating in her excitement to greet her guests. Despite her efforts, she's fairly sure she hasn't met everypony on the Satellite yet, but she totally will now! And everyone will make friends with each other, and the Satellite will be 500% awesomer!

Naturally, where Terra is, Aqua is very likely to also be, so it shouldn't really come as much of a surprise that she'd followed Terra onto the deck. Besides she wasn't about to miss a party.

"It doesn't look like it, does it?"

Terra turned and looked over at Aqua, smiling slightly. There were still a number of things they probably should discuss, but Terra didn't think a party was the right time or place for that. "No. Although I guess I should have figured that out when she started talking about multiple invitations to it."

Now that was something Aqua hadn't heard. She wasn't exactly surprised, though, given the set up. It would have been quite a shame if all this had gone to waste.

"Did she really?"

"Well, she said when she invited me on my first post that it was a pre-invite, and then there was the invitation she sent out a few minutes ago," he chuckled slightly, crossing his arms and looking out at the decorations, "She said she'd try to figure out a post-invitation but I'm not sure that's even possible."

Then again, he was starting to get the feeling that if anyone could it was Pinkie Pie. Terra gestured to the food set up, "You wanna grab something to eat before we start meeting new people?"

"I'm not sure it is," Aqua answered, but all the same she couldn't help but smile. That she'd managed to arrange a party at all on such a short notice was impressive enough as it was, even if she never did figure out how to properly work a post-invitation.

"Sure." Socializing did tend to go better with food after all, and surely no one wanted to see it all go to waste.

Terra was pretty sure if someone could figure it out, it was Pinkie Pie. He'd only just met the pony, mind you, but she seemed...pretty creative as far as he could tell. It was certainly hard to feel down around her bouncy personality. Of course, there was only so much of that he could take at once, so he was glad to be spending time with his much more down-to-earth and oldest friend, Aqua.

Not everything was the same between them, but for now Terra was going to pretend it was because the alternative was not something he felt like he could deal with right now. Besides, hadn't he been through enough? Wasn't this just the opportunity he'd been looking for to start patching things up with the friends he had let down and disappointed. 'You're really not helping the mood here,' he thought to himself.

Terra led the way over to the buffet and started cutting a slice of cake for himself and Aqua, "Have you explored much of the Satellite yet, Aqua?"

The oddities of the fight and the relative times to the arrivals (if that really was the case) aside, Aqua was quite willing to pretend that nothing out of the ordinary had happened. Oh, sooner or later she knew she'd have to at least mention Ven's fate to someone, but for now she was quite content to let that be later. It was a party after all? She wasn't suppose to sit here and get Terra 'caught up' on things that would only serve to upset him more.

As for the questions brought up by what Sora had said, those were quite firmly put out of her mind. Dwelling on those now was only going bring a headache, she was sure of it.

"Not yet," she answered. "I've been meaning to, though."

"Me either. I did make it to the deck that's filled with gumball machine-type robots," he paused trying to remember the name, "Tom Servo. Minako was trapped up there and I helped her get out." He handed Aqua's cake slice over to her and picked up his own plate. "I wouldn't recommend going on that deck. They seem to like to harass girls."

Terra took a piece of the cake up with his fork and took a bite. Immediately he was surprised by the rich flavor and sweetness of the cake. You could tell that Pinkie Pie worked at a Bakery because it tasted so good. Terra would even argue that it tasted better than some of the bakeries the Master had gotten them treats from on occasion. "This is really good."

"I can take care of myself," Aqua answered, more on reflex than anything else. Admittedly, most of what she usually used to defend herself with didn't seem particularly inclined to want to work here, but she had every confidence that she'd have relatively little trouble getting herself out of bot-related trouble. "I'll keep it in mind, though."

After all, it wouldn't do to get caught unawares. In lieu of anything else to say, however, she similarly turned her attention to the cake, eyes opening in surprise at how good it was. "It is."

[identity profile] eroded-earth.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Terra smirked, "I know that Aqua." Of course, there was that whole 'no Keyblades and no magic' thing happening. Terra still wasn't sure what to make of that inconvenience, but Aqua was tough and could handle herself even without those things. And, well, if she couldn't Terra would be by her side in a heart beat to help. He'd let his friends down too much lately.

"Pinkie Pie must have been a lot of work into this," he said because there was no way this was a quickly made cake.

In that much, they could at least could be unsure together, even if none of them was likely to mention it to the other. But in absence of the topic coming up, she simply nodded. She knew Terra knew what she could do, and wasn't at all interested in pressing that topic any further.

"She must have," she answered. "I'm almost surprised she could put this together so quickly."
