A few minutes ago, the following message went out over the Cambot network:

YOU'RE INVITED!

Welcome to the Satellite Party! Right now on Deck 4!

Come get to know everyone and make new friends! Refreshments will be provided! Everyone welcome!

Even though she hasn't had very long to get the party ready, Pinkie's still somehow found time to completely furnish Deck 4 with tablecloths, balloons, and streamers. She's already found the media deck, too; there's a hastily gathered collection of party music.There's also a punch bowl, a sheet cake that reads "SATELLITE OF PARTY", and some cupcakes, just in case the first cake isn't big enough for everyone. The pony herself is standing by the door wearing a party hat and nearly vibrating in her excitement to greet her guests. Despite her efforts, she's fairly sure she hasn't met everypony on the Satellite yet, but she totally will now! And everyone will make friends with each other, and the Satellite will be 500% awesomer!

Terra was taken aback by the sudden appearance of the pony. He blinked but then smiled down at the excessively pink one. "Of course I showed up, you invited me, remember?" While he was certainly the quiet type, he wasn't one to turn down making new friends, especially if it would somehow help him get off the SoL or mess with the Mads.

"Did you make all this food, Pinkie Pie? It seems like a lot to do by yourself."

Pinkie nodded enthusiastically in response to both of Terra's questions, her curly mane bouncing up and down. "Uh-huh! It wasn't that hard. I work at a bakery back home, so I'm used to making lots and lots of sugary sweets! Besides," she added with a giggle, "what's a party without cake?"

He wondered if it was always this difficult to keep up with Pinkie Pie's energy or if it was just the party. Her energy was sort of infectious though because Terra could feel his own mood getting better just talking to her. "A bakery? That sounds like a fun place to work," he wasn't at all surprised to find out she worked in one though. "Maybe next time you can let me help though. I'm probably not as good as you but I did teach myself how to make a few things during my spare time back home."

"Oh, it's totally fun!" Pinkie enthused. "It's absolutely positively the best job ever!"

Terra's offer of help received a wide smile. "Oooh, we should definitely bake together sometime! Baking is fun, but it's so much better when it's with friends, don't you think?" Despite the fact that she had really only just met the human, she already considered Terra a friend. He was nice, after all, and came to her parties and offered to help her bake. (Pinkie also tended to consider most everyone she met a friend, but that was beside the point.)

"I just couldn't let you help with this one, though," she continued. "I mean, it's a party for you, too, and you can't make party guests bake for their own party! That'd just be silly! But you can totally help with the next party if you want!"

Terra chuckled, "I suppose. Aqua doesn't bake quite as much and Ven, well, he's not that great in the kitchen. But I guess the product isn't what matters when you're having fun." Terra looked reminiscent for a moment, remembering happier times laughing and goofing off in the kitchen. Whether they burnt the cookies or actually turned out something edible was beside the point, it was the times together that stuck out to him.

He blinked in surprise at Pinkie's next statement. "The party's for...me?" then it occurred to him that Pinkie was probably throwing this party for everyone since it WAS a welcoming party, "But you're new here too, aren't you Pinkie Pie?"
