Who: Sora, Roxas and Ven
Content: The boys realize there are somethings they should not be discussing over Cambot.
Time: Shortly after Ven's first Cambot post
Warnings: None
Notes: Possible spoilers for... the whole series |D
With the decision to meet up in person, Sora, Roxas and Ventus also decided on meeting in the cafeteria. Talking over snacks usually helped a little.
Roxas wasn't overly surprised that he'd arrived first, if mostly because he hadn't been far from the cafeteria when he'd seen Ven's first appearance on Cambot. Deciding he had time while he waited for the others and not entirely trusting the synthesizer, he poked about in the kitchen for a tea kettle and hopefully a pot too. And he was kind of surprised that Pinkie Pie wasn't in there at the moment, but that was okay because the stuff they were going to discuss needed to stay between them for the moment. They would likely discuss these things with the others from they're world, universe, whatever.
Tea accoutrements at hand, all Roxas really had to do while waiting for others was wait for water to boil and see what kind of snacks were available that went with tea. Maybe one day he'd ask Pinkie Pie if she knew a good recipe for tea cakes or scones or something like that. He knew one recipe for scone and it was... not the best recipe, though he was pretty sure he knew what it needed. Considering he had time to kill, he started mixing up a batch.

"Xemnas was about Terra's height, I think, and had pretty much the same build. Actually, now that I think about it, his features were kind of similar too."
no subject
But Roxas' words get his attention immediately, of course, seeing as how the comparison he immediately went to was Terra. "He looked like Terra? But Terra doesn't have white hair."
no subject
"Iiiiii dunno...I feel like he was taller than Terra..." Sora said. While a part of him still had this unsettling feeling about it --the sort of weird deja vu he'd gotten when he'd first met Terra-- but he wasn't sure if he was ready to make that jump just yet. He could have sworn he remembered Xemnas feeling a lot taller than Terra was.

But Ven watched Roxas uneasily, not wanting to follow that thought. Terra had been having problems with the Darkness - the argument the three of them had gotten into in Radiant Garden, the first real argument they'd had as a family with actual, serious consequences - flashed through his mind. Terra's words about not fighting the Darkness the way the Master told him to. Terra making that odd portal of both Light and Darkness to get him away from the Master that had suddenly turned on him.
...Terra putting a hand on his shoulder and reassuring him that they'd protect him. Terra laughing with him. Terra giving him his old practice Keyblade. Terra keeping him away from Xehanort during their battle.
"...You're wrong, he wouldn't do that. Not Terra."

But Riku had been able to fight back when he was possessed, and protect his friends no matter what. Even if that did happen to Terra, wouldn't he do that, too?
"I don't know if we can know for sure either way right now," Sora said. All of the incarnations of Xehanort he'd fought had never once brought up Terra, Aqua or Ven...or, for that matter, the name Xehanort. "And..." he thought a little bit before continuing on. "...Does it really matter?"
no subject
"Well, I doubt he would have gone down without a fight, Ven," he replied.
Sora's response had him thinking though. No,they didn't have a way to know for sure, but...
"No, we don't know, but it might matter. If you were going to hijack someone's body to use for yourself, wouldn't you get the strongest one you could?"
no subject
Ven would go on believing that until the end of his days until he had actual, physical evidence shoved into his face. And for all he liked Sora and Roxas, and normally would side with Roxas on this, his expression had gone darker as he looked at his not-twin.
"There's no possible way. Not ever."
Big bro would forever be the best.

Still, Sora didn't necessarily want to jump to that conclusion yet...especially not since Ven was looking really upset about it. He wanted to make sure that these two got along!
"I mean...it doesn't really matter right now if that happened at all. Terra's here, and he's fine. He never mentioned anything about Xehanort trying to do that. And we defeated both Xehanort's Heartless and Nobody...and he never mentioned anything about Terra, Ven, or anyone. So, no matter what happened, it must've all turned out okay, right?" He hoped that this would allay Ven's fears some, and maybe get Roxas to back off, at least for now.

Actually, Sora's situation was closer to Ven's situation. All Roxas had to go on here was how Axel had lied to him, knowing full well how much the young Keybearer trusted him. A betrayal, yes, but not quite the same situation.
"Sora... I think one thing you probably ought to know about Xemnas, and it probably applied to Xehanort too, was that his memory was screwed up. He probably didn't mention Terra, Ven or Aqua because he didn't remember them." Actually, Roxas halfway suspected Xemnas had mentioned them when he spoke of wishing the Keyblade was in more capable hands, but he refrained from saying it because he was a bit uncertain how comfortable Sora was at this point with how much Roxas had been able to observe while in his heart.
'I really hate this time travel crap...'
He sighed and cast a brief, uncertain glance at Sora. What he was about to say, they might fight about later, even if he still wasn't naming names, "I know it's upsetting to think about, but it is possible. I know someone who went through that and came back from it, with a bit of help from his friends."
Even though he hadn't given a name, Ven was likely to ask. Roxas knew that. He also knew that it was up to Sora and Riku if they wanted to discuss it, at least with the others from their own set of worlds.

"Look... It happened to me. Vanitas, he took me over. I think I still looked like me, but it was his mind and his ambitions and everything. It's why I had to do what I did, and destroy our hearts, so he couldn't hurt anyone. But Terra's so much better than I am - he's too strong to lose to something like that."
no subject
Still, Roxas wasn't getting the hint...whether or not it did happen to Terra, Ven was not in a position to even come close to acknowledging it now, and Sora didn't see the need to push it.
"It's happened to Ven, and it happened to Riku. But we still don't know for sure about Terra, so unless Xehanort himself shows up and says so, what good will it do to assume it? We don't have to worry about that right now." As he spoke, he shot Roxas a you-should-really-drop-it look.
no subject
"If Xehanort were to show up... Sora, are you trying to jinx us?"
Because maybe he hadn't been on this satellite all that long, but he'd been there long enough to know that saying something like that was asking for trouble.
no subject
"We don't need him here! We don't need any of them here, don't say anything to give them any ideas!"
Who knew how much those crazy science guys could overhear...
no subject
He wanted to try and reassure them about Xehanort, at least a little. "Besides, even if he DID show up, we could totally handle him! He wouldn't have any of his powers, and there's way more of us against him."
no subject
Not that that was a comforting thought, but it was better than thinking that those idiots could actually find people just to make the lives of their current prisoners hell...
no subject
"Yeah... but what other cause it could be, I don't know. I just got here, but this place doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense."
...And yet their universe does. What.
no subject
"I don't know what it could be, either. This place makes absolutely no sense sometimes, but I'm sure there must be something in particular that's causing people to show up here. Something other than those weirdo scientists."
He hadn't much brought up some of the especially weird things that happened here, like everyone sparkling, or him accidentally growing to eleven feet tall. but he figured that'd come up eventually.
no subject
Even though it was established that certain places should be left alone, Roxas couldn't really think of where else to look for such a thing as whatever might be bringing people to this place.

Looking around definitely wouldn't hurt, even on the more dangerous decks. Hopefully they could figure out what not to touch...he didn't think any of them were as clumsy as 90s Kid could be. The problem was, they had no clue what they would be looking for in the first place.
"Also, Phineas and me were gonna look at that time machine..." Sora mused. He hadn't seen Phineas around for awhile, though, and so much other stuff had come up that he'd forgotten about it.
no subject
However, Sora said something that grabbed hi attention pretty quick.
"There's a time machine here?"

"There is, but it's locked." This would definitely be an appropriate time to have a Keyblade...too bad that none of them did. "If we could figure out a way to open it, maybe we would find something that's causing this."
no subject
"Locked. It figures. Then again, if we all had our Keyblades, then there would something else keeping us from getting to it."
