[Pinkie's announcement after Discord's defeat wasn't just hot air. As soon as five minutes after the chaos god's last cry echoed throughout the ship, there's already music blaring out the open doors of the recreation deck. As if in defiance of Discord's attack on her there, Pinkie's filled the place with even MORE balloons than typical for one of her parties. Above the main refreshment table - which is clearly the one with the biggest cake on it - there's a few banners. The topmost one reads SO LONG DISCORD! Right below it is a smaller one saying SORRY FOR BEING A MEANIE. The bottom one is a little larger and written in a different color HAPPY LATE HEARTS AND HOOVES DAY! In all the chaos, she'd completely FORGOTTEN a holiday; could you believe it? But she was totally going to make it up now, with a party to beat all parties!]

[High spirits might not be quite the right term for Aqua's mood at the very least, but she isn't moping over having been quite so thoroughly horrible to her friends and that's a good start.]

It is. I forgot how enthusiastic Pinkie could get.

[sailorgenerous]

[It's better than being greywashed and moody, at least, and Rarity will take what she can get.]

Oh, you get used to it after a while.

[She pauses for a moment, then goes for a slightly more sensitive subject.] So, how are you feeling? A bit better, now that things are back to normal? Or whatever passes for normal up here, at least.

I'm sure you do.

[There's a lot of things people can get used to, and even Pinkie has to follow some semblance of logic. As for the second topic, there's a moment of silence following the question, and then Aqua sighs. Her friends might be easy to forgive, but she's still not sure if she can forgive herself for what happened.]

A little, I guess. It's just... the things I said.

[Oh, dear. That's the look of somepony who's still bothered. Rarity sighs in return and gets a little closer, lowering her voice a bit. No need for anypony else to walk in on this conversation.]

Oh...yes. That can be a little hard to forget, though I can't imagine that Terra and Ven are still upset. They do understand, right?

[Very much still bothered, yes, although the fact that Rarity's lowered her voice some is appreciated and Aqua lowers her in kind.]

They do understand. It's just... it's just shouldn't I have known better?

[She survived Master Xehanort, after all! And she's a Keyblade Master, too. It looks bad for her to have got so badly affected like this.]

[Ah, yes, this she can understand. It's the same reason she occasionally can't look at large rocks without a twinge of embarrassment.]

Ah. I suppose what you need to understand is, Discord gets to everypony, whether you like it or not. He actually got to all six of us the first time we met him. He had Pinkie Pie hating parties and Fluttershy acting cruel, if you can believe it. We all know better - I suppose it's just that Discord is good at forcing things.

[Well, that certainly makes sense with what she's seen so far. But there's something perhaps a bit more interesting in what Rarity's said.]

All of you? Can I... ask how he got to you?

[sailorgenerous]

[Oh. Rarity looks away, obviously embarrassed. On the one hoof, she did say she would never speak of it again; on the other, this is Aqua, and she's already feeling poorly, and if it would help...well, her friends do come first. She sighs and swallows her pride.]

He...well, he managed to convince me that a rather large boulder was actually a giant diamond. I went a little mad, put it before my friends, carried it around for a while, and...named it Tom. [She adds hastily,] And then Twilight set me straight and I got rid of it right away.

[She still looks embarrassed, but she does settle down a bit.] Discord makes ponies act entirely unlike themselves. If his influence made you act like you didn't care about your friends, maybe you can take comfort in the fact that that's the exact opposite of who you really are.

[There's a moment of silence as Rarity explains, and ridiculous though the idea of seeing a giant boulder as a diamond is, Aqua has the grace to remain silent at the idea. It would only have been rude to laugh, when she's seen how persuasive Discord can be first hand.]

I suppose. It's just going to take some time, I think.
