Snipe Hunt!

[Something is prowling around the Satellite of Love! Can your teams manage to track it down? Now is the time to find out!]

[Each team will have a different floor to explore, and different clues to help them track down the snipe. Some results will be determined by RNG.]

Housing Deck

[In one of the empty rooms, there appears to be a large nest made out of sticks, shreds of pillow and blanket, and perhaps odds and ends from other peoples' rooms.]

Aeleus noticed that a door seemed to be partially propped open, and headed over to push it the rest of the way open. He frowned at the tangled collection of sticks and cloth. It surely couldn't be a leftover from the previous week, which meant they might well be facing a new strange creature.

He sighed and set about searching the hall; hopefully no one would suffer injury again this week.

Harvey peered in at the nest as well as he passed, noting it with a little more unease. Even though everything had turned out alright, he wasn't exactly eager to have a repeat of last week. Making sure nothing was around, he walked in for a closer look at the nest, poking at it for a little before going back out into the hall.

"You seen this?" He jerked a thumb over his shoulder as he caught sight of Aeleus. "Don't suppose we're lucky enough that it's just that Falco guy comin' back."

"I've been checking the open rooms to determine if anything was lurking. I don't believe I was here at the same time as anyone named Falco, but I'd prefer to think that one of our former housemates has returned than a repeat of next week. Perhaps we should stick together and try to figure this out." Aeleus does recall that Harvey was one of the victims the previous week, even if Namine's injury was more personal to him. Hopefully the man will hold up well.

"It can't be too hard to find, right? It's just a bird..." Sasami mused, passing by Aeleus and Harvey. "...then again, I've never hunted birds before."

Cafeteria Deck

[There's a trail of food crumbs winding through the cafeteria, and it leads up to the refrigerator door, which is closed.]

[Which amounts to more or less the same thing, but that hasn't exactly stopped Ienzo before, and certainly won't now.]

Recreational Deck

[It seems there are a lot of tiny holes made in some of the equipment, especially anything made out of wood. Is there something hidden in these?]

Roxas wasn't quite sure what to make of this. The holes in the equipment were puzzling at best and he wasn't too keen on finding what was in the holes. It didn't help that he was already a little spooked by the fact that there was definitely something lurking around.

At least he wasn't investigating this alone.

Indeed he was not, for Big Macintosh had followed the strange noises he'd been hearing in this direction and happened upon Roxas and Amaterasu on the way, forming a search party.

The stallion trotted toward a particularly hole-ridden shelf, tilting his head and looking it over. Some of the books were even drilled into!

Amaterasu studied the holes carefully, sniffing at them. Something weird had definitely been here, but she couldn't quite put her paw on it. Her first thought was to power slash the shelf open and surprise anything that might be hiding inside, but that wasn't doable here.

She looked towards Roxas and Big Mac. They seemed as confused as she did. Maybe there was a way to tell which ones were newest?

[There's a strange noise nearby, like a pecking sound. It looks like there's a small hole suddenly appearing out of a climbing ladder against the nearest wall...]

Theatrical Deck

[There's a single blue and purple feather sticking out of one of the boxes when characters enter. Is this a prop feather, or something more?]

Link usually only came to the Theatrical Deck when he was looking for carving stuff. Unless he intended to make a subject of the creature they were looking for, that was not his goal this time. He halfway suspected it might be a bird, possibly a large one. He'd spent enough time around large bird to have some understanding of them, although one as secretive as this was a new thing to him.

He looked over his companions and pondered the likelihood of it being attracted to pink...

Really, the theatrical deck was more Namine's place than Xion's. Xion only went there if asked, or she was looking for something. The current situation was an example of the latter case, as she and the other two looked for whatever had been making those odd noises.

The feather they'd found was pretty, but not much of a clue. She hadn't seen enough to guess more that, being a feather, it must be from a bird of some kind. "I wonder what kind it is."

Most birds didn't have pink and blue feathers, did they?

"Oooh! Maybe it'll like THESE!"

Pinkie popped out of a nearby pile of cardboard boxes, a series of pink and blue feather boas wrapped around her neck. She was quite fond of the theatrical deck. "Or we could just make it a really really BIG Welcome Cupcake, with birdseed and lots of other birdy things! It'll TOTALLY have to come out then!"

Media Deck

[There are a series of three-toed footprints that start by the library, but then travel up the walls and onto the ceiling. Where'd they come from, and where are they going?]

Sora had been hearing the weird sounds around the Satellite...after last week's basilisk, at first he had been worried that it was something else dangerous. But it seemed like the Satellite was normal otherwise, and the people who had been hurt returned to normal, so many this thing wasn't such a threat.

Still, it was weird. And it was even weirder when he wandered down to the media deck searching for a bad comic that he hadn't read yet, and stumbled across what looked like muddy footprints. Sora stopped, regarding the footprints. It just looked like they appeared out of nowhere, and started down onto the deck.

"What're these?..."

Chibi trotted towards the media deck; hopefully the growling books were gone by now. He wished he could do more for his mom, but even a goddess couldn't bring Perry back at this point. Even if they wanted to. He paused when he caught sight of Sora and trotted over. It looked like something was up.

Chibi trotted up to Sora and barked; what was going on? And what were these footprints?

Nature Deck

[As characters enter, they will hear a rustling up in some of the trees. It seems to only be originating from the more tropical trees. Maybe it's possible to hunt down the source of the noise?]

Okay, something was lurking around the Satellite, and Wilykit was determined to track it down. Just, not on her own. (This had absolutely nothing to do with how the last time she'd gone critter-hunting alone, she'd ended up as statuary for a week. Not at all.)

Luckily, help hadn't been too hard to find. There was just the small matter of getting said help to go along with it, considering that Liz seemed convinced Wilykit couldn't do anything fun without accidentally breaking something, and Isa was... Isa. So Kit had been forced to get both sneaky and creative.

Two bags of Skittles and half a roll of duct tape later, Wilykit had managed to get her "teammates" just outside the Nature Deck.

"Look, I'm telling you, something is in there that's not supposed to be!" she insisted. "I'm not crazy, I mean it!"

"That's great," Isa replied, though his tone suggested that he was clearly not interested in whatever was going on. "What does this have to do with us?"

Maybe if it was Lea doing this, he'd be a bit more inclined to help. (Most likely not, but maybe.) But he barely knew this girl. So what gives?
