Considering the size, that made it unlikely--she knew enough to understand that several animals would make some kind of noise and find it more difficult to hide than one. Still it was an idea. Following Link's gaze, she guessed at what he was thinking. "Do you think he's hiding up there somewhere?"

Climbing the storage racks it was. Which was about the same as climbing on ivy, in someways, but considerably more rigid. Not necessarily more stable, though, as one seemingly secure handhold on a box turned out not to be and that box tipped easily, nearly taking Link with it as it fell to the floor. It was full of hats, some of which might actually look quite fetching with the addition of feathers from the bird they were looking for.
He halfway doubted it would still be there when he got up there, but maybe he'd get a clue as to where it was going.

No, it wasn't likely they'd find the bird, since they weren't exactly being quiet. Still, it was one step closer and they might find more information.

"I think we scared it," he remarked.

Xion backed up to give Link room to get down safely, then fell in line behind him. With this much noise, tracking should be easy.

More than likely, it thought it was being pursued by something predatory. Unfortunately, if they backed off now they might lose it and that would be annoying. Link didn't really like the idea of having to try to locate it again.

The dead end made her pause, though. If it was in the ceiling, the bird could have gone on, right? So why did it sound as close as ever, but she couldn't see it, even though nothing was blocking her view?
