Catching you kids up on real cinema. (Open)

Characters: Harry Dresden, Open
Content: 'Brave Sir Dresden showed a film, he bravely showed a film a film' A film known as Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail. *note: the thread starts after the movie has just ended*
Location: Theater
Time of day: Evening
Warnings: Tis a very silly thing that happens in here.

Finally, with its anticlimactic ending having blazed its way across the screen, Harry sat back in his seat, empty popcorn bag in hand. Closing his eyes to savor the beauty that was quality cinema after a bombardment of awful stories, Harry's mind was full of swallows and black knights, and fearsome bunny rabbits. Beautiful.

Then, opening his eyes, he gazed over at those seated in the theater with him.

"So, what did you think?"

Sora had heard through the grapevine that Harry had found this movie, and that it was really good and that people needed to see it. So of course, he had to join in and watch it, since who knew when they were going to find another good movie on this Satellite?

And then, once it was done, Harry asked what they thought of it. "It was really funny, but...I wanted to see them actually storm the French guys' castle at the end! It's like it ended too soon!"

He thought a little more about everything that had gone in. "Also, I didn't really get what was going on in that castle with all the ladies in white."

And as if the universe was conspiring to make Harry facepalm as hard as possible, Pinkie flopped over the back of Sora's seat, scattering the remnants of her popcorn everywhere. "Yeeeeeah, I didn't get that part either!" she chimed in. "And I'm normally really REALLY good at getting jokes! Like the thing with the coconuts, that was HILARIOUS!"

"Ahh, I get it..." Sora said, although he was still a little disappointed. He would have preferred to see the big epic battle, even if it was just them throwing farm animals at each other. "Do they do that on all of these kinds of movies?"

But to Harry's other answer, he just asked, "Complicated how?"

Sora jumped up in surprise when Pinkie flopped over the back of his seat. She had such a habit of popping out of nowhere! Although, he had to agree...to Sora it just seemed like the knight was freaking out that the women wanted to take care of him, and he didn't quite see the humor in that.

Pinkie seemed oblivious to having startled everyone; she slid over a little more and offered her bag of ridiculously buttery popcorn to Sora as she considered Harry's question. Dating wasn't really something the party pony ever thought about; she was way too busy having fun all the time to worry about colts. "Weeeeeeeell, I've never dated anypony," she said. "Rarity did this one time at a party we went to, but he was a big huge meanie jerkface and she said she was never ever ever gonna talk to him ever again, even if he was a prince and stuff! She broke her pretty glass shoe and everything! So then we all went out for doughnuts instead!"

Sora looked a little surprised when Pinkie offered the popcorn. But he wasn't going to turn down something like that, so he took a handful. Seeing Harry's expressions to their questions was practically like watching another movie, anyway.

And his experience was pretty close to Pinkie's ironically enough...minus the 'huge meanie jerkface' and the donuts. He'd just always been too busy fighting the Heartless to even think about that, and even then, thinking about it just made him a bit flustered, because he didn't know what to think about it.

"Me neither...I've just always been so busy, and I dunno..." he trailed off, not wanting to reveal just how confused he was on the subject, especially when his thoughts wandered to Kairi. "I know the basics I guess."

Pinkie tilted her head at Harry as he attempted to explain, considering him with a narrow-eyed expression for a few seconds. She looked almost...suspicious. But a second later her expression brightened and she chirped, "Ohhhhhhh. Okie-dokie!", before burying her head in the popcorn bag again. She came back up for air a few seconds later. "I still don't see why she wanted to be spanked though," she commented idly around a huge mouthful of popcorn.

Pinkie accepted that answer a little easier than Sora did, but she at least brought up something that was still bothering him. "Yeah. What does spanking someone have to do with dating?"

Sora's only experience with spanking was what parents did to their children when they misbehaved (not his parents, though.) And dating was about taking a girl you liked out to dinner and movies or someplace else they liked, plus kissing and maybe more. He didn't quite see how those two things intersected. At least...not in any way that wasn't leading his mind to weird places.

Harry had been wrong before, about going to hell that is. He'd just realized that he was not, in fact, destined for the deep pits, nor been given a one way ticket to the bowels of Beelzebub, nor journeying on some sort of cross country automotive transit network bound for Dante's Inferno.

No, see, you can't be going to hell when you're already there to begin with.

"I..."

...

"Look..."

...

"Um...the thing is...have either of you played a video game?"
