Rockin' Around The Charlie Brown Christmas Tree [OPEN]

Characters: Anyone and everyone!
Content: Get your Christmas Party on!
Location: The Weapons Deck
Time of day: Evening of Christmas Day, after people have gotten presents
Warnings: None...for now...

[Since the Weapons Deck is totally empty, Mike and the Bots have taken it upon themselves to transform it for a rockin’ good Christmas Party! The Charlie Brown Tree has been safely set aside too; all decorated up. There’s a table with punch, food and way too many desserts for any group of people to handle, a bunch of Christmas decorations thanks to Rarity and her decorating crew, and even Christmas music that’s only slightly annoying!

Characters are free to come in and grab food, mingle, play games, exchange gifts or stories...whatever they want! Obviously, treat this thread as party-style.

There’s one more special note...there’s a couple bowls of punch sitting next to a big pan of Green Bean Casserole of Tranquility. Unfortunately, Crow accidentally mixed in some leftover Waters of Forgetfulness to make the punch. That water, combined with the spicy punch flavoring, has created an unusual concoction. If your characters drink some of this punch, they won’t notice anything wrong...at least yet!]

Maes saw Xion right away. He hated to see her hanging off by herself like that, especially at Christmas. He made his way to the dessert table first, gathering up some cookies and punch before heading over to Xion.

"Merry Christmas, Xion. You look a little nervous. Not used to big parties like this?"

Xion smiled at Hughes. "No, I've never been to one. Merry Christmas."

It was good to see him looking happier than during their previous conversation.

"Well that's a shame. You'll have to start coming to the one's Pinkie Pie throws. A girl your age should be attending parties and meeting nice boys, or at the very least attending parties to just have fun." He didn't really know how old Xion was, since her height made her seem like a teenager but her demeanor and actions made her appear much younger or, at the very least, very sheltered. He hadn't quite put all the pieces together as far as Xion was concerned, but he was making notes of things like this.

"Here," he held out the cookies he had gotten on his plate, "Have a cookie to start with."

"Thank you." Xion accepted the cookie with a smile, then began eating it to give herself time to consider what else Hughes had said.

Girls her age were supposed to go to parties? The memories she had of parties Sora had been to were vague, but what she could recall was a bit different from this. She did know Kairi sometimes had parties with just her girl friends, though, so maybe there was a difference? Though Hughes had mentioned meeting boys...why would someone have to go to a party to meet someone? Were the boys who didn't go to parties not nice? She filed the idea away to discuss with Roxas, and maybe MakubeX, later, when they got a chance to talk. Or maybe Hughes would know, and she could tell them what he said.

"I think...I'd like to go to another party. But why would I need to go to one to meet nice boys?"

Huh. Now that was a good question. Maes was taken aback at first but the reminded himself that this WAS her first party, although now it was starting to sound like her first party PERIOD, not just a Christmas party. Now he wasn't sure how to explain this and frowned with thought, "Well, you don't necessarily have to meet boys. Mostly you just go to parties to have fun. But if you want to dance and, I dunno, find a date or something then usually you try to talk and meet with boys." He shook his head, "The point is to have fun though, so if that doesn't sound like fun to you don't worry about it."

"Oh! I see--Thanks." That cleared up most of her confusion. So many of these social things could be more complicated than she realized; or maybe she thought too much. The Organization had been no place to learn about this sort of thing, though, and working with what she had of Sora's memories was tricky, or so she was finding. She was vaguely aware of dates and that sort of thing, though how those differed from simply spending time with a friend she wasn't sure yet. That was a question for another day, though.

For now, she could just try to enjoy her first party.
