Triple Terrific Party Time! [OPEN]

Content: So many things to celebrate, so little time!
Location: The recreation deck
Warnings: Zidane may not be genocidal anymore, but he does have a certain karaoke machine...

[Pinkie's announcement after Discord's defeat wasn't just hot air. As soon as five minutes after the chaos god's last cry echoed throughout the ship, there's already music blaring out the open doors of the recreation deck. As if in defiance of Discord's attack on her there, Pinkie's filled the place with even MORE balloons than typical for one of her parties. Above the main refreshment table - which is clearly the one with the biggest cake on it - there's a few banners. The topmost one reads SO LONG DISCORD! Right below it is a smaller one saying SORRY FOR BEING A MEANIE. The bottom one is a little larger and written in a different color HAPPY LATE HEARTS AND HOOVES DAY! In all the chaos, she'd completely FORGOTTEN a holiday; could you believe it? But she was totally going to make it up now, with a party to beat all parties!]

"I'm sure more will be here eventually. I'm glad you decided to come, though."

He glanced around the room. Sure, he knew most of the people on the satellite, but there were only a handful that he would actually consider friends. He'd been so focused on other things he simply didn't get around much.

"Anything you'd like to do?"

"I'm glad, too. And that you're here."

Xion herself was so shy that, outside of those here who she'd known (or known of) before arriving, there weren't many she called friends. She'd merely been commenting on the lack of crowding now, as opposed to the situation at Christmas.

She tilted her head in thought. There wasn't any music to dance to (yet). "How about getting some food?"

They could catch up on more fun topics, too.

"That sounds good." MakubeX led the way, looking over the table.

"Wow... She really went all out."

Xion followed, and her eyes widened when she saw the table.

"She really did. I wonder if everyone here will be able to eat it all."

She started looking over everything carefully, trying to decide what to try.

"Who knows? There are some big eaters here." He glanced over at her, tilting his head curiously. "What do you like besides ice cream?"

"There usually are in any group." Xion remembered some of the others in the Organization mentioning being hungry a lot.

She paused at the question. Food in The World That Never Was hadn't been prepared with thought to taste. "I can't really say. There weren't a lot of different kinds of food. One of my friends would bring back things from other worlds--I liked most of those." She pulled a face. "Except when they were spicy."

"That's a start. We'll know what to avoid."

He eyed the table again and chuckled. "Although there are things here I don't recognize."

Xion nodded. She definitely knew what she didn't like where food was concerned.

"Really? Like what?" She couldn't name more than general categories--cookies and cake, for example.

"Well, like that over there." He pointed to a tray of fruits. "Some of those I know, but some seem new to me. But, then again, since we have so many people from different worlds, maybe it's from theirs."

"Maybe--I don't know many of them either." She put a few on her plate. "Fruit was something we didn't get much of."

The she turned her attention to the baked goods.

"You'll have to try some," he said, grabbing plates for them both.

She accepted a plate and began choosing fruits that looked good, then moved onto a cookie and piece of cake. "What are your favorites?"

"I'm more a fan of sweets myself, but as far as fruits... probably strawberries."

"Those are the red ones, right?" Xion studied the food on the plate to make sure she had some before studying the drinks. She'd tried Ginger Ale last time and thought it was okay, but there were a lot of other drinks to choose from...

"With the little seeds all over them, yes."

MakubeX hovered near the cake, still unsure which sweets he wanted to try first.

"Okay."

Her thinking there confirmed, Xion went on to select one of the clear sodas.

He made his final selections and looked over. "Do you want me to carry anything for you?"

She looked down at her plate and cup and shook her head.

"I've got it, thanks."

She moved off to stand a little away from the food table, in order to make room for the others.

He nodded and looked around for a place to sit.

"Looks like more people are starting to arrive."

"It does. I wonder if everyone will be here."

There weren't many places to sit, but Xion spotted a few chairs nearby, and, her hands being full, jerked her head in their direction.

"We could try sitting there."

"That'd be nice, I think. It would certainly make Pinkie happy."

He nodded and led the way.

"It would. She really likes this sort of thing.

She followed and sat down, starting to eat as soon as she had arranged everything.

MakubeX made small talk as he ate, checking occasionally to see who else was coming.

Xion did likewise, until she'd finished all of her snacks. Not wanting any more, she let her gaze wander until she spotted a certain machine.

"Doesn't that machine play music? Maybe we could see if it could play something we could dance to." Her cheeks reddened slightly. "If you want to, that is."

"Oh! S-sure, I'd love to." MakubeX fidgeted. "I'm afraid I won't be very good at it, though."
