LASERRRRRS - [Open]

Characters: Sora, and OPEN FOR ANYONE PLAYING LASERTAG
Content: One of many lasertag skirmishes, to be sure
Location: The Recreation Deck
Time of Day: Afternoon
Warnings: None thusfar

[Any characters on red team are free to either get a successful shot at him, or be shot back...and green team members can come and team up if they like! Also, treat this thread as party-style...if you want to tags others besides Sora here, go for it.]

Sora just couldn't resist something like this...it was like some of the games they used to play on the Islands when he was younger, but with real lasers. And since they didn't hurt anyone and didn't have actual ammo or anything, they could use them as much as they wanted! How could anyone go wrong with something like that?

So as soon as he'd heard this stuff was available, he ran down to the Weapons Deck and picked up a gun and a set of armor for himself. It looked like he had the green kind. He was currently spending his time prowling around the Recreation Deck, occasionally ducking behind exercise equipment, looking for anyone on the opposite team that he could potentially hit...even if he wasn't the most stealthy person around.

A large cardboard box appeared to be milling around the room, scooting around various objects. It looked as if the occupant was able to see out, but there didn't seem to be any way that the person inside could actually get a shot off.

Well that's... not something you see every day, even on the Satellite. Zidane had string, but no fishhooks to try and catch on it and pull the box away, and he didn't have anything to just throw at it since he was in the ceiling. He had to admit it was a pretty clever way to not be shot, although it looked like whoever was under there couldn't shoot either. So he kept an eye on it, but didn't move to shoot.

True, the box itself is unlikely to be a threat. But it hadn't been meant to be, of that Ienzo is fairly certain, even without the context he and Lexaeus of spoken of. This is nothing more than the most rudimentary of distractions, meant to distract the eye.

Of course, that alone doesn't make matters easy. Even with Lexaeus drawing Zidane's attention, it take Ienzo a long couple of moments to find him hidden up among the rafters, even with his habitual attention to minor details that others might not properly see. Once he has though, the rest is easy enough. He's never made to measure the height of the ceiling here, but he can approximate it easily enough and the rest of the calculations fall rather easily into place, for all that he's hardly Even or Braig.

Once he's sure he's gotten everything right, he lines up his shot and fires. It's a small target, but hopefully that won't matter.

Close, but not entirely. The shot splatters into the pipe right next to Zidane's head. What it does do, however, is startle him, making him jump and lose some of his grip on the pipes he's clinging to. His tail saves him from plunging to the floor, but he does fall somewhat out of his hiding place and scrambles to get back in. If Ienzo hasn't put his gun down, he can easily get a shot on him now.

Ienzo blinks as Zidane very nearly comes falling out of the ceiling. It's not what he'd expecting, and although he's glad to see that Zidane hasn't fallen to floor it does mean that his plan hadn't quite worked as plan. But if there's one thing hanging around with Aeleus has taught him, it's that you don't put down your weapon until you're sure the fight is over.

So he doesn't miss a beat despite his blink, firing off another shot close on the heels of the first.]

And that one does, indeed, strike home before Zidane can pull himself back up. Right in the head, too. If Ienzo fires again, he can get one more shot before Zidane gets his grip on everything back to haul himself back into his safety nest, but once he does he's sticking the barrel of his own gun through a small gap and firing away at the shooter. Kid or not, you're not on his team!

Ienzo's not really interested in rattling off a second shot. Braig might have, perhaps, but he finds the idea of combat distasteful in general even now, although for very different reasons than his Nobody would later have. Instead, he scuttles back behind the box, tapping lightly on it's side as he passes it by. He's done at least what Lexaeus had asked of him, and hopefully that's a decent enough start.

Well that was... odd. Zidane fires until Ienzo's undercover, then watches the kid scramble off with the... box? Is he really seeing that?

...Shrug. He's seen weirder. Zidane goes back to the game.
